User Review

Whodit2, Walmart

  • Summary: This is a Christmas gift for my son-in-law. This is the specific item he asked for. I did not have to substitute a lesser brand or quality because Walmart had it.

Great for the emergency supply cabinet.

pen name, Amazon
28 October 2014
  • Summary: Keeping this in the basement with the Storm Safety stuff. slowly drains the battery over time, you have to keep it charged. For me this is a pain because it's really there for emergency only. Otherwise, very versatile and the radio works great. Charge your phone, use the flashlight. Awesome emergency light/radio. Would be really cool if you could broadcast/receive FRS.

Pure Junk

Mr. Paul, Amazon
12 October 2014
  • Summary: Junk. The nice stylish systems and great colors are not matched by quality. I purchased six of this items over the last year for myself and family. We got the Red Cross Version. Four of them have already failed with just minimum use. One of them totally failed the other three had issues with the Tuner. The tuner stops working and will not tune to stations. You cannot use the radio on this item. It just becomes an expensive flashlight.

Just what I was looking for

Sandy, ABT Electronics
7 October 2014
  • Summary: I was looking for an emergency radio with multiple charging choices, a handcrank and cell phone charger. This meets all my needs and had a better rating than some others that were lower priced. I feel like this was a good value.
  • Pros: Lightweight, Reliable Reception, Strong Construction

relieved to have this radio

  • Summary: Have been wanting one of the Eton emergency radio's for a while now, to add to the emergency kit. Haven't *had* to use it yet (thankfully), but have used the radio lightly. the solar cell can't quite produce enough power to run the radio directly. leave the radio off, let solar recharge the batteries fully, and you're good to go. doesn't run for hours, but enough to get weather/emergency updates.
