Summary: I'm glad I didn't let the negative reviews I read about this neat little (quite tiny) radio deter me from ordering it. It replaces a Sony Walkman that I had had for years. Now the Walkman can cost $2-$300. It is the only affordable, wearable radio I could find, so I took a chance. The sound is just fine. It brings in the local NPR station that is the only one I ever listen to.
Summary: I purchased this to use at the gym, specifically to watch the television while on a treadmill. The dial is not digital and I find it very hard to tune in to the stations. I had another Coby with a digital tuner that was much more effective.
Summary: I bought this radio and I have two suggestions for other buyers. Go for radios with digital tuning. I find it tough to tune with this analog system. I hear 2 stations at the same time often. Also the earphones are not very comfortable.
Summary: I've had my radio for about three years now and it's a pretty good value. The radio is quite light and is easy to carry while exercising. It comes with a belt clip or a special cord which allows you to hang the radio from your neck. Radio reception is pretty good on both AM and FM. Battery life is pretty good.
