Summary: My family just took our 12th road trip in 6 years from Colorado to California, and this Zenith DVD player has been along on all of them. My kids beat the crap out of this player, and it still performs like a champ. It's been spilled upon, stepped on, slid around the back seat of the SUV, been filled with dirt and sand from camping, etc., and it still works great. It's tough to find a product these days that works so well for so long.
Summary: We bought this thing over 4 years ago, and it has stood up to amazing amounts of abuse (even having contact solution spilled in it) from our now 3- and 4-year old. It is starting to be finicky about what it plays, but considering its life, we have been super impressed! Not amazing battery life, but pretty normal, I would guess.
Summary: We bought this DVD player after his first one (a Sony) died after only 2 months of use when my son was 2 years old. That one was a lot more expensive than this one and you couldn't even hear it with the volume turned all the way up. On the Zenith the picture quality and the sound is great. We took this DVD with us on every trip and trust me, we travel a lot. You can get 2 hours of movie time from one charge.
Summary: We bought this DVD player about 2 years ago because it had the ability to play all types of DVDs (expect blu-ray). It did great for the first year and a half, but then it started having issues playing especially on a plane or in the car if there were any vibrations. The DVDs would play perfectly fine for about the first half hour and then all of a sudden it would start to pause and skip. Annoying for anyone, but especially for a little kid.
Summary: Got this DVD player 2 years ago. Battery life was horrible. After charging the battery and unplugging the player, the battery would quickly die. My kids would get 45 minutes of movie time before the battery died. 3 hours...what a joke! Will never buy a Zenith DVD player again.
Summary: i got this last summer for a roadtrip. It worked fine but I never could get it to work without being plugged in. So now i'm in the market for a new dvd player for when I go into labor because you are not allowed to have anything plugged into the walls in that part of the hospital.
Summary: We got this for our 2 year old so he could watch his movies and we could watch TV in peace... well, he loved it and used it side ways and upside down and he put stickers all over it and spilled things on it and lugged it with him everywhere and the thing kept working! I am amazed at how well this DVD player kept up with him. It sadly did die (he spilled a good amount of water in it...
