Excerpt: We bought the TruTech LMD-5702RT 7 in. Portable DVD Player with Screen (dual) about 3 years ago and they are still working nicely. We actually replaced our Audivox portable DVD player as it went out on a 9 hour car ride. We stopped at Target and picked this up, and I am glad we did. We got the dual DVD player since we have 3 kids. These are very uncomplicated to use and our kids love them.
Excerpt: I was looking for a dual dvd player that could be used in my car for my kids when I came across this one. I saw it on sale at Target right before Christmas for $89 and figured i would take a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. The installation was easy and it played the Dvd's just fine. It came with a remote control but that didn't work from the front seat so it wasn't much use to me.
Ok for price but a pain in the rump!! You get what you pay for

Summary: Ok. This is not terrible. It is acceptable for the price I paid which was under $100 at X-mas time. Yes, under a 100 for the DUAL screen!!! The screen size is fine, quality is acceptable. MIy problem? You can't turn the volume up and down with remote, which is important when you have two kids in the back seat that can't do it themselves. MOST IMPORTANT HINT WHEN PURCHASING A DVD PLAYER? GET ONE THAT DOESN'T RESTART THE MOVIE WHEN YOU RESTART THE CAR!!
Summary: Not very high quality sound or video but since it was for toddlers, to be used on car trips, so ok. The buckle on the head rest is not the best either, but it can be adjusted somewhat. One feature that would've been great is to have the DVD pick up where we left off once we shut the car; it just goes back to the beginning each time we stop and the kids have to skip forward to what they were watching.
Summary: We bought this about 5 months ago for a trip from Miami to Texas for out then 11 month old daughter. It was fantastic. We still use it everytime we go well anywhere. It's nice for around town or long trips. I would recommend this to anyone.
Summary: This dual-screen portable dvd player works fine. It doesn't have great quality picture or sound, but it's alright for watching kids movies on car trips. HOWEVER, it has to be plugged into a wall or the cigarette lighter on your car, it has NO BATTERY so it can't be taken on airplanes. That is a HUGE downfall for us. We're just sorry we didn't check into that earlier so that we could've returned it.
Won't play some DVD-RWs, limited buttons on console need remote for full control

Summary: I bought it and decided to do some tests. Played the first of my recordable DVD-RW, but didn't play a second one which does play in my home DVD players. A third DVD-RW played, it is not a wide-screen show, but the player expanded it to widescreen to my chagrin- didn't look good. There is no button on the console to switch it from wide like I had an another portable DVD player.
Summary: This is the best buy for the money spent. All the reviews I read seem to be silly. If you expect Blue Ray quality and features for "Black Friday" prices, then this is not the product. This player worked right from the first time till now and I had absolutely no problems whatsoever.I would recommend this product to everyone who are looking for an economical way of keeping the kids occupied on long road trips..I also purchased the additional 3 year warranty just in case.
Summary: We bought this on black Frriday thinkin it would be a great deal for only $88. Turns out it wasn't. It worked the first time we played it and died after that. We're returning it today. We should have learned our lesson with our trutech flat screen tv that died also.
