While the Toshiba SD-P2800 is a little heavier that many portable DVD players, its slim format and 9” LCD screen with 180 degree swivel makes that extra pound barely noticeable when you take it on the road.

The Toshiba SD-P2800 was designed so that it would easily be maneuvered for comfortable viewing, or you can hook it up to a larger TV set with better pixel revolution and save yourself the cost of a DVD player for the entertainment system.

This screen provides 480x234 pixel resolution, which isn’t the best out there, but the screen size compensates. Additionally, Toshiba is a name to trust in consumer electronics and this little system isn’t a disappointment.

Features of the SD-P2800 portable DVD player include a four hour batter life, a car adapter, dual head phone jacks, and the ability to handle a wide variety of formats including CD, DVD-R, CD-R/Rw, VCD, DivX, MP3 and WMA. If that weren’t enough you can also use pictures from Kodak Picture CDs, and the memory card slot will accept multimedia and XD picture card formats. This means you can easily see JPEG images and enjoy your audio tunes everywhere you go. That makes the price point on the SD-P2800 a little higher than some, but if you’re looking for an all-in-one entertainment system that can go with you anywhere, that extra cost is worth it.

One offering that the Toshiba SD-P2800 has that many portable DVD players leave out is the capacity to zoom in on a picture, and also letterbox the films you’re viewing. Wait, that’s not all! You can also turn on slow motion and parental locks while enjoying great 3D surround sound. This system comes complete in the box with remote control, car adapter, ac adapter, AV cable, and battery.

For me, the biggest selling point on this portable DVD player is the screen size and the progressive scan display.
