Nice DVD player

FEEL, Amazon
6 April 2012
  • Summary: Nice DVD player. I bought Coby portable DVD player for my family's traveling. However, it did not work properly. So, I had to return it. And, I bought this player although it is a little more expensive than Coby product. But, it is worth it until now.

Works OK once fixed

Robert, Amazon
27 April 2011
  • Summary: The DVD player worked for two days. After that discs would not load or play. I sent it back for repair and have not received it back yet. I will write more once it is returned to me. So IU sent the item back for the warranty and they returned it to me about 1 - 1 1/2 weeks later.

Not well built

Jon, Amazon
7 February 2011
  • Summary: I spent extra on this unit, with the expectation of getting a higher quality product. I was pleased with the picture quality. But, after several months, it stopped working and the power light would not come on. I took it apart and found that the power jack had separated from the circuit board.

Shorter lifespan than a poorly-fed goldfish

Amazon Customer, Amazon
4 July 2010
  • Summary: When we purchased this 3 years ago the early reviews were good and we were pleased with the player portablilty and design, although the screen could have had a few more pixels. It's not been used often, but when we got it out of its case to let a friend use it in the hospital it played one disk and...

Disappointed

Tim Thoelecke, Amazon
16 February 2010
  • Summary: It was fine for awhile. We used only a few times on family trips. Then it quit spinning just after warranty expired. Not worth fixing. Bummed out , as this was supposed to be a good one and we've had good luck w/ other Toshiba products. I won't buy another though.

  • Summary: The product arrived on time and billing was on spot. Unfortunately the unit stopped displaying the video. Audio worked but video quit. Tried to get a replacement but the Outlet did not have any other units - no longer in stock.

  • Summary: Hi! Firstly, I'm so technologically-challenged that I just about need written instructions to open a pair of sunglasses, so this DVD player was a welcome surprise! To use; slide in(on?

Good choice for the money

  • Summary: I must agree with previous reviews of this product regarding the sound quality without headphones. Very low volume and especially hard to hear when there is background noise. However, for the picture quality, size, and clear audio with headphones, I feel for the money, this was a perfect choice.

Don't recommend

  • Summary: This is quite expensive compared to some I saw later brand new. It will play some but not all my DVDs. The sound when turned to its highest is barely audible. The buttons on the player are black and the writing on the buttons is black, so you just have to learn which buttons do what, as unless you...

faulty product

wif, Amazon
21 February 2009
  • Summary: We used it only a couple of times before the DVD drive began making noises. About 9 months later, after light use (estimated 20 hours) the DVD stopped spinning entirely. Toshiba says to send it in for repair (at customer cost) and as there is no receipt (item was a gift) customer must pay labor...
