horrible portable dvd player!

hot singin blue, Amazon
16 February 2015
  • Summary: This is a great portable dvd player. It has two headphone jacks instead of one, so that two people can watch a movie together. Almost all dvd players only have one headphone jack. It has a very clear picture as well. Most portable dvd players have a dark picture.

Quality Toshiba product!!

Amazon Customer, Amazon
29 October 2013
  • Summary: I needed a quality yet inexpensive portable player and I've had experiences with Toshiba products being top notch and this player is no exception! Well built and solid, yet not too big or bulky. The picture is better than you'd expect and I'm just really happy with this purchase.

Good For Travel

Sean Ng, Amazon
23 April 2011
  • Summary: To ease the boredom of the long road trip i purchased this DVD player. It must be plugged in to a power source for it to work because it does not contain a battery. The screen is not that big but it is still manageable to watch in a car.

GunnyLouis, Amazon
2 April 2011
  • Summary: My wife bought me a SONY portable DVD player it was 200.- 4 times what I paid for the Toshiba. The P1850 is Much better all around-- the battery lasts longer -will play 4 movies instead of just 2 1/2. I'm hard of hearing so either way I can use phones of the speaker and I can hear it.

LSH, Amazon
30 March 2008
  • Summary: I purchased this item at the beginning of November 2006 and it is not working any more. First the remote went on the blink after about a year and now the dvd player itself has died. So, I please note that with regular use it lasts about a year and a half.

  • Summary: I searched and searched- and read every review before purchasing a portable DVD player for my kids to use on long trips. I finally decided on this Toshiba, and we have not been disappointed. It is a sturdy, tough little machine, and the picture quality is great.
