Summary: I've used this DVD player about 4 times and I'm already having problems. The DVDs just stop for no reason. Also, I wish I knew the battery pack stuck out the back of the player opposed to fitting directly underneath. Also, if you purchase any DVD player for travel I highly recommend a carrying case!
Summary: The player works well in terms of good picture quality but the speakers can't be turned up to a reasonable listnening level without lots of distortion. So, we only use this player with headphones.
Summary: It's excellent quality portable DVD player on top of others in the market. It give you bright and beautiful color at great size of screen. You will attract a lot of people's eyss while you're playing.
Summary: I have the newer SD-P1850 model which is very similar if not identical to this one. I can recommend this DVD player after doing a lot of research and also trying out a few others. My opinion is that the 3 best brands of portable DVD players are Toshiba, Phillips and Sony.
Summary: We just returned from Disney, having flown 2.5 hours each way with a 3 yr old and a 6 yr old. The portable DVD was a life-saver, particularly for my little one. Not only is the picture incredible, the battery held its charge for at least 4 hours!
Summary: I purchased this player as an upgrade to a 6.5" generic Shinsonic player that had faithfully served me for 2 years. Upon receipt of the player, I discovered that the two players were extremely similar, from button placement, hardware design, built-in firmware, and even on-screen display logos.
Summary: This is the most amazing piece of technologie i've ever touched! The sound is clear. The picture is great from a two foot distance but up close it's just a little messy. The player is very light even with the battery. It also comes with 2 headphone jacks and an AC adapter!
