Summary: I bought this in 2010 in anticipation of a long trip with two little ones. This player has a very nice picture, decent sound, and looks great! It would be great for someone who is going to spend lots of time just waiting; (hospital, doctor, trips, etc.) I did a ton of research before I bought this, and I really think that for the money, this is a best buy. It still works great, and I'm very pleased with it.
Summary: I bought recently. Thank you guys from Portmarket brought quickly. Screen - great, sound is loud and clear. Disappointed that no rewind buttons on the housing front - only with the remote control. The battery holds about 5 hours exactly. I looked straight 2 films in 2 hours and 30 minutes and was still a charge! The model clearly one of the best on the market in quality, and price is not very bite. Picture perfect for 9.
Summary: I bought this player for my daughter to take on vacation for the long trip in the car. A few hours into the trip she spills her pop all over the open player. It quit. I told her to shut it off and wait for it to dry out. She did and turned it back on and it has worked ever since. I have had this over a year and it still works. She has dropped it many times. Sony has built this tuff and long lasting.
Summary: I order a DVP-FX930 at a price of $149.88 from Electronics Expo on Amazon Marketplace. Electronics Expo sends me a DVP-FX950 at a price of $131.98 instead. I look at the price on Amazon Marketplace for Electronics Expo and notice it was $18.10 cheaper. I order item A and they send me item B. They neglected to inform me that they would be sending a different model number and neglected to offer a refund off the bat. Strike one. When it arrived it was poorly packaged.
Summary: I purchased this for my young daughter after our 2ND vehicle mounted dvd player died. She has used it quite a few times over the past year, and she loves it. The picture is wonderful, and it sounds good. It feels great quality, and I am happy that I purchased it. For the price, I think I got a great deal.
Summary: Initially this product worked great. After 10 months of light use it stopped recognizing disks of any kind. I got on the Sony website and requested service. I entered all my info on-line and was given a ticket number. I mailed it in to see if I could get it repaired. I just received it back today still broken and no explanation. I purchased a Sony with the belief it would be better than a knock off brand. The extra money I spent was a waste.
