If you're in the market for a portable DVD player that's versatile and compact, the DVP-FX930 makes a very good choice. It's a bit on the pricey side, but you get Sony quality and technology in the bargain. The screen is a nice size for portable viewing, and the swivel ability makes the DVP-FX930/R very versatile. Performance is above average when compared to the competition. All-in-all, a very good offering from Sony. Read more

This DVD player had all the qualities I needed to enjoy the long ride there with a nice collection of DVDs. The 9inch screen provided a more than enough view of the picture and it was a clear picture. Read more

Although it's not the most exciting player to look at, the DVP-FX930 is a tremendous picture performer thanks to its hi-res 9in screen, plus the USB port, six-hour battery life, touch-sensitive buttons and nifty swivel screen are all welcome additions. That said, at £200 it's not particularly good value for money given the lack of digital audio output and the fact that the 9in Toshiba SD-P91S and 8in LG DP391B both offer more features for less dough. Pros: Cost, tough and size Cons: Maybe a bit heavy but not much else We bought this for road trips with the kids several years ago. It has exceeded expectations. The kids have really abused it with no apparent problems (other than a lost remote and a large amount of scratches on the casing). The picture and performance are good for a portable DVD. The only drawback is that it seems more sensitive to scratched DVDs than my full size DVD player. Read more or see product

I absolutely like this portable DVD. I tried few cheaper products before (returned them) and this is more expensive indeed, but it worth its price, that's for sure. The quality of the picture it's amazing, battery life is probably the best you can find. The only little issue is that I don't like how you adjust various controls, for example volume is hard to find when watching in the night. Read more

Its a decent player. It does what it is supposed to do really well. The rotateable screen helps a lot when you watch movies while laying on your back. The headphone outs are convenient, and input switch enables to listen to ipod shows (if you have the right cable) The player is light Read more

    • -Swivel screen really is convenient
    • -movies with dark tones are hard to see, dark shades are too bright (only applies to dark movies, bright movies are very good)

This is such a great product. The picture, sound funtin and remote are wonderful! I use this for my twin one year olds to play Elmo videos while I am making dinner and I use it on long car trips. It fits nicely right on the console of the car. With twins it's big enough and the swivel screen works GREAT for both to see when the sun shines in the car windows. My husband uses this on his lunch at work to review hunting videos too. Read more
