I took my family on a road trip and this player performed admirably! The picture was excellent and the sound was more than adequate for my kids. The battery lasted through two movies and still had some juice left in it. My kids really liked the remote control as you can do everything with it (turn on and off, fast forward, rewind, skip, volume control etc) Read more

I had one problem in that the audio in didn't work but the picture is excellent and I hooked it up to one of those "free" didital to analogue converter boxes and the TV picture is great. The unit plus the converter take little power and thus can be hooked up to provide long term TV service when the power goes out. Read more

I have had this portable DVD player for a little over a week now.The High Definition Screen and tone quality truly amaze me. It's much better than I expected! The screen is 800*400 resolution and you can change the display format between Normal and Full. The battery life is also excellent. It's about 6 hours and if you turn the LCD brightness down and use a earphone, it will be longer. I also like the remote control. What's more it doesn't get hot even you use it several... Read more

Amazon Verified Purchase ( What's this? ) This review is from: Sony DVP-FX820 8-Inch Portable DVD Player, Black (Electronics) Bought this DVD Player back in March 2009. It really worked great on keeping my son occupied during daily commutes/long rides (bought the car mount with it). Every once in a while we would only get sound and no picture but if you turned it on and off a couple times the picture would appear...Now we're in November and there is no picture at all. To...
