Summary: Have really missed my DVD player since milk got spilled on it! Would love to order about 3 more because I enjoyed it so much. Actually got one for my sister across country so I could share family videos with her. She is confined to a wheel chair and doesn't operate the family elctronics. This item has an added feature of a remote, which is very handy.

Summary: And you better find an electrical outlet if you have any hopes of finding out what happened. Most recently the screen collapsed to black while watching "Unstoppable," thus the title of this review. It's not the first time the battery lost its' luster at an inopportune time but in defense of the manufacturer, it was never represented to have more than a maximum 2 hour capacity. And admirably, after 3 years of regular use, battery degradation has been minimal.
Summary: I bought this player for my then 2-year-old to use on international flights. The machine worked well and reliably for 2 years. On our last trip to Florida, the player could not be recharged as the charge light wouldn't stay lit. I went to Radio Shack in search of a new charger and was informed that he'd seen this same issue with Philips portable DVD players. He said the problem was internal with the player and not due to a faulty charger cable. He was right.
Summary: I bought this player for my son about a year ago and couldn't be happier! The sound isn't too loud and the picture is great. Its been spilt on, dropped, and left out in the south Texas heat (100+) and is still working great over a year later! My only complaint is the low battery life. I originally bought this product because I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on something that I was sure my son would break anyway, but so far it has exceeded my expectations!
Summary: I bought this DVD player for my son 1 year and a half ago when he was 16 months old to let him watch his favorite movies. I needed a zone free one since my child is trilingual and I was looking for something that was easy to use for a little child. Now, after one year and a half of work, several trips to Europe and a yong child treatment the player is still doing his job. The screen sometimes is not clear but my child can fix it by moving it in differet degrees.
Summary: We had bought this dvd player for our daughter to have on our trip to Alaska. We received it in a timely manner, however, it would only stay on for appx 2 minutes after being charged. It may have simply been a faulty device, but regardless, it has given us a negative view of this product. We were very displeased.
