Works great! Here are instructions on how to use the USB disk
1 week ago
Summary: I use it to play videos off of the USB stick. The screen and volume are excellent. The only problem is that there are no instructions on how to prepare the files for the USB! I used a program called Any Video Converter (AVC) to prepare my mp4 video files. Just copy the finished avi files into the root of a fat32 usb drive.
Summary: And somehow the power button didn't work all the time in that the player would turn itself on. Very annoying. And the 12 Volt car power cord was RIDICULOUSLY short. There was no way it would reach the back seat.
Summary: This player meets our expectations but the DVD door has a spring that wasn't attached and came loose. It requires that we manually lift that side before using the button to open the door each time. I contacted the company, but they have yet to return my call. Since this player was shipped this way, I would not recommend using this company.
Summary: This is one awesome portable player! The battery life lasts longer than stated (for me anyway) and the picture is awesome. Sound is not the greatest, but when I put my headphones on, it jumps to life. I recommend this!
Summary: Only complaint - The matte screen doesn't give a very crisp picture. I'd concede that this could just be a preference thing. This is a sacrifice I'm willing to make for the below Love that it: switches between playing DVD and Blu-ray like a dream. This is the first portable I've owned that plays both equally well.
Summary: Product worked as described and easy to use. This Philips portable Blu-Ray DVD Player plays various different formats from a USB drive and navigating the directories is very easy. One thing to note is that there is a switch at the bottom of the player that controls the power so ensure that is switched to on to make it work
Summary: I purchased this to replace a 10+ year old unit. Obviously, the advancement in technology over a decade makes this a vast improvement over the older model. Picture is very good. The down side. Sound volume is lacking, particularly if there's background noise. I typically use head phones and that helps. Battery lasted about 3 hours, or rather, 1 and 1/2 movies. Inconvenient to have your movie stop mid-way. Also, off/on switch is on the bottom of the unit.
