  • Summary: This portable DVD player is not really usefull. It does not have any brackets or wires or any hooks which could be used to hang it on somewhere in the cards.

Good feature,but risky

Kurniaty Candakentjana "Patty", Amazon
16 September 2009
  • Summary: I bought this product to replaced my old Philip portable DVD and usually being used by my 5,5 yrs old daughter. The features of the product are pretty good (ipod docking. But, there's no cover on the monitor kind of worry me, because it can be broke easily, and it should stand really in perfect shape otherwise the monitor will look black,so for me this product not as perfect as I expected.Just OK.

Great idea, mediocre execution

Jonkehote, Amazon
12 September 2009
  • Summary: The picture is good. It's easy to use, my 3yr old knew his way around it in minutes. Works with all ipods. Interface is mediocre, unattractive and slow. Heaven forbid you need to find a song that's not on a playlist...it takes forever. Don't get me wrong, I do recommend this product if you are pretty computer saavy. I filled a 5g ipod with something like 50 movies and tv shows...battery ran out long before kid's patience did.

Not bad

LuciferGoGoGadgt, Amazon
29 August 2009
  • Summary: The unit is pretty good for the most part. The only draw back to it is that the battery life is poor. You have to be near a power source when you want to watch a movie. Another problem with the unit is that in the iPod mode when you select a video it doesn't play it the selected video. You have to scroll through whole thing. Good quality vidoe and sound is ok. The headset or ear buds are the way to go when listening to something unless your alone in the quiet room.

Philips DCP951/37 9-Inch Portable DVD Player with iPod Docking

Raheel Anwar "Raheel Anwar", Amazon
24 August 2009
  • Summary: I bought "Philips DCP951/37 9-Inch Portable DVD Player" because it is compact and occupies less space. And, it worked well while I was in travel. Extra features like iPod Docking is excellent for those who do not have iPod Jack in car audio/video system. But, there are three comfort-related things to mention in this system.

Good, but with some exceptions.

L. Moskowitz, Amazon
15 July 2009
  • Summary: I bought this item when it was an Amazon Deal of the Day, because it seemed like an excellent buy. I was sort of surprised that after a few weeks, the deal price ended up being the permanent price, but that's not that big a deal. I love the iPod connectivity, which is the main reason I bought the item. It works like a charm. After spending the better part of two days trying to get various movie formats to play using the DVD player, I gave up.

The Old Model was Better

Kiavash Kasravi, Amazon
16 March 2009
  • Summary: We had the previous version of this DVD player and the flip screen on that one went bad, so we decided to get another one. The primary reason for staying with the brand was the iPod dock. But with this version of the DVD player the iPod sometimes slips out of the dock and has to be reset. Furthermore the kick-stand in the back slips sometimes and the players falls over. Overall it's a good player and has a nice screen.

Poor video quality but overall a good value

A. khan, Amazon
27 August 2008
  • Summary: I have an iPod classic with 80 GB. I carry my music and a lot of movies with me to watch during my commute on a busy subway system. I wanted a bigger screen to watch my iPod movies. This thing has adapters for virtually all formats. I am going to throw out the others but am keeping the iPod classic and touch/iPhone ones. The built in speakers are not very good quality. The headphones produce good iPod sound pass through.
