Summary: I think this is a great player, which allows me to play DVDs from all regions. So far, I have tried DVDs from regions 1 (US/Canada), 2 (UK) and 4 (Australia) and all play great. It also has a USB Standard USB2.0 High Speed connection (USB Playback JPEG, MP3) making it a media center. The player itself is quite sleek, with dimensions (Width x Depth x Height) of 16-15/16" x 8-7/32" x 1-1/2") and weighing approx. 3.44 lbs. I like it very much and recommend it highly.
Summary: I bought this model, because I have some Australian videos I wanted to be able to play, plus our old DVD player had just died. I'm in Canada, so my player does play all regions which it did when I popped in my Aussie disk. The only feature that is odd and annoying is that it doesn't save your resume spot if you do more than just press stop for a short while. I tried just stopping it and leaving the unit on. It eventually shuts itself off and your place is lost.
Summary: The player was delivered well within the stated time right to my door, was easy to set up and plays all my DVDs as stated in the advertisement. I enjoy brass band music from Britain, which is recorded on PAL format so is not playable on North Americain units, but this unit does play that format.
Summary: Well, it seems that this DVD player is a MUCH better brand and was WELL WORTH IT to buy. As I said in my previous posting in @ April 2013 -- I said that I bought a Panasonic S48 and had bought it from "Bombay Electronics". In less than a month, that multi-region DVD player broke down! Now that I have had a little while to use THIS PLAYER, so far I have been very pleased with it.
Platzsparend und trotzdem alles drin was man braucht!
