Summary: This is a great DVD player. I highly recommend. I have had this player now for 4 to 5 years without a problem. I love it. not sure if it is still available. But if it is this is the one to buy.
Summary: I have had this player for over a year and a half and have never had a single problem with it, and I have used it almost every day since I bought it. The picture quality is excellent. It has a good size screen and is very light weight. I put it on my lap and watch it lying down in bed, and it is excellent for this purpose. You need to use earphones with it in order to get the maximum from your battery.
Easy to fix HO 3 error plagues Panasonic DVD players
25 December 2006
Summary: The LS90 is the third portable Panasonic DVD player I've owned (the LS5 and LS55 before this). I bought this bigger screen size although my LS55 is still going strong and I really like the LS90 which is good for kids due to 9" screen size, good picture, genuine 6+ hour battery life and decent speaker sound.
Summary: Worked well for a short time. After the 90 day full warranty, however, returning my unit to the Service Center in Texas yielded an offer of $200 plus shipping for a replacement refurbished unit. Given that price, you would have shelled out well over $500 for a portable player and only have another 90 days of coverage.
Summary: My first experience with a Panasonic portable DVD player was with the LS-50, which I rented at an airport. I loved it, ended up buying a used one thru eBay. Should have bought it new and with a warranty! Got 1 year out of it, then the HO:3 message. Thinking to buy the LS-50 again, it is now more costly than the LS-90 which replaced it, so I went with the LS-90 after reading customer reviews. So far I have been very happy with it.
Summary: I really enjoyed this product as long as it worked. It has the longest battery life of up to 6 hours. The folding display is a very nice feature on airplanes. The picture quality was better than similarly priced products. Here is the problem. As several reviewers have mentioned, in a year, more or less, the player stops working and will display the dreaded "HO3" error. This seems to be due to the laser lamp getting stuck in position on the rotating shaft.
Summary: I bought this item because of the long battery life. Shame on me for assuming that by buying the most expensive portable I would be getting all the bells and whistles. Even $100 el-cheapo players include video inputs...not the LS90. I was looking forward to using it to review home videos and pictures while on vacation. The sound, picture and battery life are all first rate but the LS91 has all this AND AV inputs. For $100 less than the LS90 it's a no-brainer.
Summary: As a previos buyer of the panasonic DVDLS55...I received the dreaded H03 message...I called panasonic and was told it would cost $250 to repair it...I purchased the LS90 from another vendor with a 4 year extended warranty...If you buy this player do that also...3 business companions of mine have received the H03...Great product here but protect your investment people....It took 1 1/2 years for me to receive the message and believe me you will get yours also!
Summary: This portable DVD player is the best one I've found. It has a 6 hour battery life, where most others have 4. I love it, and think the picture and sound quality are excellent. I was hesitant to buy it after reading some of the comments on the picture quality, but I am glad I did. Sure compared to my high def plasma it's not as good, but for a portable DVD player it's got an excellent picture. I am very happy with it.
