Summary: We really liked this product when we first purchased it & in theory, it's great. However, despite having been used on very few occasions (we only really use it for long journeys) our players have developed a fault - the slave screen consistently shows a 'no signal' message and refuses to play. This causes endless arguments between our children and means we spend half the journey trying to sort it out!
Summary: Cables EVERYWHERE! This is my second set as the 1st one broke (after plenty of rough use). I think this must be an old version as the cables are really very messy compared to the 1st set I bought.
Summary: Bought this for 750Km trip across France with two over excited 4 year olds. Was everything I had expected. Went with this one because of the added security in the event of an accident. The players are less likely to fly off and hit the kids. I would recommend it to other who have to take kids on a long, long car journeys. Don't forget to buy the cigarette socket multi adaptor if you want to use this and your GPS Sat Nav.
Summary: My wife and I picked this product because it is the only one that has been crash tested. We are very pleased with it. We bought it last month and used it on a 12 hour trip to France. We bought the nextbase wirefree headphones (which are also brilliant) but we did not need them - the sound quality was fine (we were driving a new focus which was very quite). My 3 year old son was very happy with his in car entertainment. It was easy to set up and is very neat in the car.
Summary: Having decided to take the plunge and send my children into DVD-zombiedom to get us through a long journey through France, I spent quite some time researching and deciding which system to buy. In the end they all appear to be much of a muchness, with different advantages and disadvantages, but the Nextbase seemed to be the best in terms of safety in the car - the click and go system means you can strap a base unit to the car headrest and then click the player and its...
Summary: We are now on our second set of Nextbase "click" DVD screens having bought them for a long drive to Scotland about 18 months ago. We also bought the semi-perm headrest stantion mounts (also by Nextbase) and I have to say they look good fitted to our Audi A6 - they almost look like original equipment. However...
Summary: I was a bit disappointed when setting up the product to find that both screens won't work outside the car at the same time - at least as far as I can tell. There is no way of powering the second screen when it's not attached to the in-car headrest. This seems a bit of a wasted opportunity to me and the product description is a bit misleading as it gives the impression that it works the same out of the car as when you're travelling. Unless I'm missing something?
