Summary: I bought this for my 20 month baby and I have to say it works great. She has dropped it presses on the buttoms and who knows what else. But its still working... I take it with me whenever we go out to eat or anywhere and it keeps her intertained for a while.. Happy with this product :) last time I used it for camping, we even played cd! the battery last about 4-5 hours, but helps it comes with a car and electric charger.
Summary: We bought this for our two year old for the car and airplane. Battery life has been great. It's been dropped a few times and still going strong. Well built for a small child in case of accidents and good volume in the car where it doesn't drown us out or if we want music up front.
Summary: As the title states, this is a piece of junk that doesn't work most of the time. And now Coby Electronics is shut down so I can't get it repaired/replaced after just a few months. Total waste of money.
Summary: I've owned this unit for a little over a year. I bought it specifically to use as a monitor and speaker only. I've never used it to actually play a DVD. I feed a video and audio source into it from the head unit in the front of the vehicle. I bought this specific unit because at the time, it was the best option. While it worked, it worked well. The unit stopped playing video only recently. Audio was still fine.
Summary: I was worried about other portable dvd players, since the reviews were sometimes saying that screens would have problems since they swiveled. I thought this would be an autofeed, like in most car cd players, but it is not. You have to flip up the screen to access the dvd. It does not turn the way other potable dvd players do though, and seems solid, but may be difficult for a child to lift the screen(who it was purchased for).
Summary: I am giving this product 2 stars for the picture quality and ease of use. I'm also ONLY giving this product 2 stars because I bought it Feb, 2011 and it finally quit on us yesterday after acting sort of..."quirky" over the last 3 months. "Quirky" in that it didn't always play, it would sometimes stay stuck on the blue V-ZON screen until I would have to turn it off, then turn it on again. Occasionally that did the trick. But, as of 1 day ago, it no longer works.
Summary: I wanted a small DVD player I can use at the gym while exercising on a treadmill, elliptical machine, or stationary bike. The flat design of this Coby is ideal for this purpose; I can place the player where people traditionally have placed magazines or books. It works great! The picture and sound quality are good, and the controls are simple and logical. I have no complaints about the design or basic functioning of this player.
