Summary: This player is very poor quality. It worked approx. 8 hours and then the laser failed. For the price, it does not pay to have it repaired and the repair is better then 2/3 of the price to replace it. If you want a portable DVD player, you should buy from a different company.
Summary: I purchased one and in less than a year the lens stop reading the DVD's. I called Axion and was told that things like that happen. Reggie (the Axion employee) said I could ship it back and pay $40 for labor to have it repaired or he could ship a lens to me and I could get someone to solder the lens into the DVD player myself. After expressing my dissapointment with the quality of the product, Reggie told me that there was nothing else that could be done.
Summary: The product worked fine for about 7 movies, then it cut out last night mid movie and will not play them anymore. I should have heeded the warnings of the other buyers. This is a low quality electronic item designed to break after minimal use so you spend more money. What's worse is that even though it is still under warranty, I do not have the receipt any longer and Best Buy says they can't look up receipts on purchases made with their own Best Buy gift cards.
Summary: This is worth the money for what I paid for the dvd player. The picture is sharp and clear-color is great. Sound is just fine and it plays loud when you are in a very quiet setting. Easy to operate and if I am correct;I think the battery life is about 2 and half hours. I love the size of the dvd player;I can slip it into my backpack along with my movies and I am on my way. It really looks like a small black book.
Summary: Purchased two months ago; died after light use-- maybe 10 times. Naturally, no simple way to return the item for replacement or repair since its made in China, and the Amazon "storefront" you purchase it from doesn't want it back. Do not waste your money. This rating form made me give it "one star", but I would give it none.
Summary: My son received this product as a birthday present last year... item didn't even last the full year! We knew it wasn't "expensive," so we forgave the poor sound quality that existed from day one. The picture is fine, it is light weight, but clearly not durable. We used the DVD player MAYBE ten times, if that... it wasn't dropped, damaged, etc., However, it simply DIED during use this past weekend. It was powered on, but simply stopped reading the DVD.
Summary: Bought this portable DVD player for less than $60 and so far I'm very pleased. Picture quality is above average, sound quality and volume is better than I expected. Makes very little noise when playing movies. Includes a remote and car adapter and has an AV input so you can connect a game system or external DVD player, etc. Definitely worth $60 considering it has some features that aren't normally found on lower priced units.
Summary: I like this player, it's very portable & small... I don't have any issues with it working like I have read from other reviews. This works well for what I want to use it for. The only issue I have is it would be nice if remote control had volume control & power on & off button... otherwise good player for price, great picture quality... if you want a higher end player, you will have to pay more.
