Pretty Decent Machine For The Price

T. Goff, Amazon
5 March 2003
  • Summary: I've been using this item for over a year now and I haven't had a problem with it. It's been a faithful little machine. I like it's portability and have been using it in my home system... has a great picture and super sound quality with surround sound capability. The manual is pretty much useless but luckily it didn't take me long to figure it out. The battery life is usually less than the movie length luckily included are a power adapter and a car adapter...

The Hyundai of Portable DVD Players

Paul Calderaro, Amazon
13 February 2002
  • Summary: Ever drive a Hyundai? It's a competent little car. It gets you to work and back in relative comfort. It doesn't have the amenities or coolness of a BMW, but it costs a third as much. That's this DVD player. It's kind of chunky, a little homely, and the features are so-so. However, it's the cheapest you can get, and it plays DVDs just fine, thank you. First, this unit is the least sexy portable DVD available.

DVD1500 A great system but a little heavy

BJ, Amazon
12 January 2002
  • Summary: I compared this system with several others and found that for the price and what you walk away with nothing came close. I paid [$] for it and think that it was money well spent. The only down side would be the weight. At a little over 3lbs it is heavy so make sure you purchase a bag to carry it in. The picture and sound are good and it comes with enough wires that you can connect it to almost anything. All in All I think this is a Great Little Player.

Great Item For The Price

T. Goff, Amazon
13 December 2001
  • Summary: I have a lot of fun with this product. The reviews are true regarding the instruction manual, which really is awefull, however, if you're at all knowledgeable about electronic products, you'll have no problem figuring it out. You can hook this up to your TV set as well. A Tip: The hook-up is very simple if you have a "line in" button on your VCR.

Solid product, few glitches

Rob "Old School Gamer", Amazon
21 October 2001
  • Summary: I've had this player for about 2 weeks now and overall have found it to be very good. The picture is great, and the features are good. The built in speakers could have been better but they do the job. The main problems I've had has been with it's ability to overheat if it's not on a solid well ventilated surface, also the picture skips at the slightest vibration.

A Bargain

D. Mac "BundyIsTheMan", Amazon
21 September 2001
  • Summary: Considering the Price ($399) I am very happy with this player. Sure, others weigh less, look sleeker, but you will pay more. For me this player is just fine.

Good bang for the buck..

Pat Handwerk, Amazon
14 August 2001
  • Summary: This is a real value. For this price you can't go wrong. We bought it to take on vacation for use in the car and at home as a portable DVD player to be used in the kid's rooms and basement. The 6" picture quality OK, not the best but i was not expecting that. The playback on a TV is good too much better than I expected. If the kids break this, it is not like i am out [....] Buy it..you'll like it!!
