Summary: I bought this DVD player for my son 4 years ago when he was 5. It's been dropped, banged, bumped, and it still works. About a year ago I had to buy a new charger cord for it, but the player is very durable. It's been one of my best purchases!
Summary: We bought this a while ago for my son. It still works, even though my kids are a little harder on toys that most kids. We still take it on long car rides. They love it. It was a great deal for the money.
Cheap and it works, plus it comes with lots of accessories

Summary: This replaced a much more expensive ( Toshiba SD-P1850 Portable DVD Player with 8-Inch Widescreen LCD ) that died. The Audiovox has now been in use more than twice as long without failure, and it cost half as much. What I finally realized is that portable DVD players should be considered disposable. So just buy the cheapest one that meets your needs, use it until it breaks, then buy another. This Audiovox isn't great in terms of sound or picture quality, but it works.
Summary: This DVD player never worked right - I sent it back before I have even had it a month. It never played DVD correctly, it skipped or told me "no disk" or "unknown". Luckily I was able to get a full refund of my purchase price. Don't buy this one!
Summary: We bought this last year to make a very long move, hoping it would keep our daughter entertained. It lasted for the length of 2 movies and then died. The rest of the trip was very long with nothing else for her to do. Couldn't get help on the phone and stuck with $100 worth of junk.
Summary: We purchased this portable DVD player for a two-month trip to Ecuador last summer. I am completely happy with the product and feel it is a great value for the price. The deciding factor in choosing this DVD player over the others was everything you'll need to use it anywhere came included with it.
Summary: This product has paid for itself. We purchased it due to a move from Kentucky to Kansas, for my 9 month old. He watched Baby Einsteins and was a overall peacefull happy traveler. We haven't used the battery pack or headphones, so unable to comment on those. I used a car adapter plug to plug the player into knowing the battery would probably not survie a 14 hour drive. We even managed to hang the player on the back seat for my still rearfacing son and get it to work.
Summary: This dvd player worked great. We were able to drive for 13 hours in a row with three children thanks to this wonderful dvd player. My nine year old had no trouble working the player. It held a charge well and was easy to plug in the car. The picture was good. We did buy noise blocking headphones but the headphones that it came with worked well also.
Summary: Worked pefectly for a few months and then just quit. Great for the price but I would look into some kind of replacement warranty if possible. I loved it while it lasted, which was less than six months of infrequent use.
