Features

The BDR-T28 supports Quiet Drive Technology which reduces the noise level of audio and video playback while also delivering increased writing reliability. The Liquid Crystal Tilt/Blur Compensator plays and records to discs, and the device also feature technology that compensates for warped discs. The Dual/Double Layer recording provides twice the capacity of a single layer recordable. It allows users to watch a Blu-ray and DVD movie, install software, create backup discs, and more. It is bundled with the following software: For Mac systems, it comes with Roxio Toast® 9 + (HD/BD Plug-in) that gives users the ability to create high definition video content on to Blu-ray, or standard DVD discs by letting them use high-def video footage from AVCHD camcorders, TiVo and EyeTV and create Blu-ray discs that can be played on any standard Blu-ray set top box or Playstation3 game console. The HD/BD Plug-in supports HD DVD formats and disc players; and Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 with Encore that lets them create DVDs, delivering high-definition Blu-ray discs with pop-up menus, dual-layer burning, and subtitles. For the PC user, the device comes with SONY Vegas Pro 8 that lets users burn Blu-ray Disc directly from the timeline, allowing them to create a disc similar to a “single movie” DVD and create high-definition discs that can playback on a set-top Blu-ray Disc player or on a Sony PS3 gaming system; PowerDVD 8 Ultra Blu-ray with support for video formats like AVCHD and Blu-ray Discs; Corel® WinDVD® 9 Plus Blu-ray for DVD and video playback on a Blu-ray Disc; AnyDVD HD™ with additional features for full Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD support, including decryption of Blu-ray (BD+ and AACS) and HD DVD (AACS) movies.
