Summary: The item arrived as expected. In using it, it has an annoying habit of shorting out at least once or more times with each CD I play. Sometimes it will start up again and work other times it refuses to start again. It crackles like static electricity and stops working. I almost wish I had purchased a new, unused one that works consistently. I feel like I spent good money for a flawed CD player.
Best 75 minutes of mobile sound quality available!!!
7 February 2015
Summary: I got a used one for 30 bucks plus 6 for shipping from happyhourcollectables. It functions fine and sounds great. CD's are the best mobile sound quality out there, however they can only hold about 75 minutes of music. So, they are the best sound quality with limited variety...
Summary: Sony has discontinued this portable CD player, probably because everyone uses MP3 players. Wish they would go into production again, because it is a great player, can take a lot of abuse, but just keeps on playing.
Summary: I have an iPod, I've had other walkmans, I've had a Zune. None of them have ever been able to compare to the sound quality and durability of this walkman. It is incredible! Aside from that, with the handle strap, it's easy to use this product on the go. The buttons are conveniently located. You can jog and never have to fiddle with both hands.
Summary: This is a wonderful CD player for active types. I keep mine in my "Tune Belt" and don't care how old-fashioned I look. My only complaint about this model is the location of the volume control. When you slide the player into the belt, the volume control often gets nudged and this of course affects the volume!
Summary: With the advent of Playaway books the size of a matchbox, I can see the end of the portable CD player in the next 10 years or so, except for a niche market, so it is a pleasure to get this, probably the best and last of the great Sony portable CD players (I also have the best and last tape player from Sony). So far, after a couple of weeks, it works flawlessly and better than its predecessor.
Summary: I bought this re-manufactured CD player on the recommendation of my husband who had already purchased one like it. It arrived with easily understandable instructions. The headset I received with the player was less-than-wonderful - a pair of $2 cheapos. My husband's had included a headset that matched his CD player. I simply used my favorite set of earbuds and I was in business. The player alone was well worth what I paid.
