Summary: This player lets you play many hours of programming on a single disc (via mp3); I have done just this (for extended bus/airplane trips); it's a fabulous feature. It also plays "ordinary" CDs, of course. It's well made, and it displays (as you have a right to expect) track listings. If you know what a CD is (believe it or not, there are signs that they are quickly becoming a thing of the past), you can't go wrong with this player; I recommend also buying a case (worn like...
Summary: My elderly father likes books on CD. He likes to make his own CD's, which is a nice project for him. He is nearly blind so this feat is awesome for him. We tried 3 different personal CD players, and none of them played his homemade CD's. We bought 2 of these used, and we are glad we did. This model of player is the only one we tried that plays any format of anything you put in it. The seller was great, and the players were in excellent condition as advertised.
Summary: I listen to CD books . This is Perfect for this ! Love the Bookmarks.. I noted that people were complaining about MP3's . This is not want I bought it for. The batteries last a long time with this Player. Having gone through lots of players over the years this a very good one and have had this type before..
Summary: This CD player is as small as it is physically possible, its diameter just a little larger than the CD itself. The volume controls are tiny, other controls are not obvious by looking at them, and in general, unless you had the manual with you, you wouldn't know which controls do what. Very poor engineering, but the sound itself is not bad at all.

Summary: I bought this item and it sound so good just make sure you set the EQ to the heavy option that's where you get the best sound ever. I've been listening to some of my old CDs and it's like I'm listening to these songs for the first time. You hear things in the music you never noticed before in great detail. If you're in the market for a CD player get this one.
Summary: for awhile i was looking to replace my big and bulky sony sports walkman, its still in excellent shape but i just wanted something lighter and more compact. regardless of what anyone says i stick by sony with their walkmans because i haven't had a single problem with any of them, and the d-ne300 is no exception. for the price, nothing really comes close to this great mp3/cd player.
Summary: before i bought this player. i was determend to buy a mp3 ipod 300$. because they were the only device that had equlizer(bass((treble)(midrange)live, and the ablity to record from many sourcese.but while was shoping i noticed sony had a new line of cd players.i became skeptical about buying another cd(sony) the last players i had bought had problems with there volume being to low or only bass 1 & bass 2.one didnt sound no better than the other.but the newwer models have 5...
Summary: I bought this player as an impulse buy. I was expecting to take it back until the unexpected thing occurred: it CAN read UDF-1.50-formatted CD-RWs!! (such as formatted using DirectCD or InCD). So I dragged and dropped a bunch more MP3s on it and decided to keep it. I never installed the SonicStage software. I'm more of an "ACME setup" kinda person. I dunno about the poster below who said this player is only good for "folk music.
Summary: First off, the Sony Psyc D-NE300 is a teriffic bargain at its price. I was skeptical at first of the fact that 490 songs HAD to be put onto a CD, rather than flash memory or a harddisk. However, the included software, SonicStage 2.0 is the easiest music management software I have seen used, and I have every player/jukebox out there. As soon as you insert an audio CD, Gracenote hits its servers and comes up with every detail about that CD.
