  • Summary: We actually bought two of these Walkman CD Players. The first one was used, but was like new! The second one was scratched up but, still plays well.

I recommend also buying a case (worn like a belt)

Hominid Philosophiae, Amazon
7 August 2014
  • Summary: This player lets you play many hours of programming on a single disc (via mp3); I have done just this (for extended bus/airplane trips); it's a fabulous feature. It also plays "ordinary" CDs, of course. It's well made, and it displays (as you have a right to expect) track listings. If you know what a CD is (believe it or not, there are signs that they are quickly becoming a thing of the past), you can't go wrong with this player; I recommend also buying a case (worn like...

Good little player

N. Jessee "n&jtog50", Amazon
30 March 2014
  • Summary: This is a very nice little player. It came in a box in good shape. However very dirty. After a good outside cleaning with an alcohol cloth it looks really great. Plays just fine.

Plays any format

lovebrits, Amazon
15 February 2014
  • Summary: My elderly father likes books on CD. He likes to make his own CD's, which is a nice project for him. He is nearly blind so this feat is awesome for him. We tried 3 different personal CD players, and none of them played his homemade CD's. We bought 2 of these used, and we are glad we did. This model of player is the only one we tried that plays any format of anything you put in it. The seller was great, and the players were in excellent condition as advertised.

Fine sound, unusual controls

Easy Rider, Amazon
12 June 2011
  • Summary: This CD player is as small as it is physically possible, its diameter just a little larger than the CD itself. The volume controls are tiny, other controls are not obvious by looking at them, and in general, unless you had the manual with you, you wouldn't know which controls do what. Very poor engineering, but the sound itself is not bad at all.

Experience music like you never experienced it before

Rami Lopez "John Melody", Amazon
8 May 2011
  • Summary: I bought this item and it sound so good just make sure you set the EQ to the heavy option that's where you get the best sound ever. I've been listening to some of my old CDs and it's like I'm listening to these songs for the first time. You hear things in the music you never noticed before in great detail. If you're in the market for a CD player get this one.

No remorse --- The Perfect MP3-Capable CD-Player.

B. Williams, Amazon
4 July 2006
  • Summary: I bought this player as an impulse buy. I was expecting to take it back until the unexpected thing occurred: it CAN read UDF-1.50-formatted CD-RWs!! (such as formatted using DirectCD or InCD). So I dragged and dropped a bunch more MP3s on it and decided to keep it. I never installed the SonicStage software. I'm more of an "ACME setup" kinda person. I dunno about the poster below who said this player is only good for "folk music.

Highly recommended

nacho, Amazon
19 June 2006
  • Summary: First, I would like to say that I am not associated to Sony or Amazon.com in any way. Now, the CD player: I did my research before buying it; I wanted a good-looking MP3-CD player, with good battery life and easy to use, and it had to be under 70 dollars. My first candidate was an iRiver player, I don?t remember the model number now, but it was cheap and full of features, but at the same time it was UGLY and battery life was mediocre at best.

Best Bang for the Buck!

CD, Amazon
8 June 2006
  • Summary: I bought this when it first came out and there were NO reviews on Epinions, Amazon, or anywhere else that I could find, so I just took the "plunge". I have just read all of the reviews for the D-NE300 (which I use), D-NF400 (which I bought for my daughter) and the D-NE500, at Epinions and Amazon and am amazed at the WRONG comments some folks make. I assume it is because they don't sit down and READ the manual.
