Summary: I Love my Sony CD Player it came just like it was described. It looks like New. It is as it was described with all the functions as said. I use me CD player daily to listen to CD books. I use it when mowing, doing all sorts of out door chores as well as inside, it does not skip at all. I expected it to skip some when mowing as in can be bumpy and all the players I bought brand new from Walmart (4) would skip when I was just walking.
Summary: Nice player The player is well built. Access to batteries is on the outside, convenient. I used it only for two weeks. So far no complaints. The design of buttons is not the best. Hard to see, especially the volume. I would recommend this model.
Summary: I bought this player several years ago as a replacement for an older Discman/car kit that didn't have any skip protection. I took it on many 6+ hour trips and listened to it in various college art classes-it even survived plaster dust from not one, but *two* sculpture classes! It eventually malfunctioned after I left it in a car during a 95+ degree heat wave, which the guide specifically said I shouldn't have done, and I replaced it with a newer Psyc model last year...
Summary: i got this for christmas my freshman year in high school. it's now christmas of my senior year in high school, and it's still in perfect condition save a single scratch (i don't even remember it getting there) and the lettering's rubbed off alittle bit. it still plays like the day i bought it, and i use it like nothing else. i go through a set of headphones every three months, that's how much i use it, and how much i have used it for three years.
Summary: I've had this CD player for almost two years, and I plan to keep it until it gives out. It has the best sound quality and the best bass of any portable CD player I've ever tried. Sony makes the best audio products of any brand I've ever used, so I knew when I was buying it that it would be good.
Summary: Pros: Battery life! I bought 4 Rayovac rechargable batteries with this unit and have yet to ever buy new batteries. Two rechargables last anywhere from 15-20 hours. Skip protection: Dropped it pretty hard and it didn't skip. Cons: OEM headphones are garbage. Automatic Volume limiter sometimes comes on by itself and is very annoying. Sometimes when running this player skips. I think longer term jolts will cause this unit to skip.
