CD Walkman D-EJ010

Michael Kehoe "numbers cruncher", Amazon
18 March 2012
  • Summary: I bought this device so I could make use of a collection of CDs. Of course, after one has used an MP3 player, CD players seem rather dated in terms of bulkiness and handling needs. With that qualification, this CD player performs well. The sound is satisfactory and the controls are easy to use. If you need a portable CD player, this is a good, cheap solution for your needs.

can't see controls

Edward H. Utley "bigdogspotty", Amazon
4 April 2007
  • Summary: With small black on black controls and a hard to open case, this unit is a disaster. Plays nice, but what good is that when you can't put in a CD or operate the controls?

Sony Walkman CD review

Emily E. Marcus, Amazon
28 March 2007
  • Summary: I don't like the headphones that came with my portable CD player, they are flimsy and don't stay in my ears very well. The CD player itself works well.

Sony DEJ010BLK Walkman

Walter Feist, Amazon
27 March 2007
  • Summary: Works well. Only drawback as I see it are that the controls are awkward to use because of their mounting on the side of the unit and are verrrry small; also the LCD readout is difficult to read - would be better if it were LED instead.

Attractive package - hard to use

M. M. Carrasco "Troubleshooter", Amazon
17 March 2007
  • Summary: Yes, it looks cool - it sounds good and works well, but what were these Sony engineers thinking? The controls are practically invisible. The beveled edge of the unit make the buttons unreadable. Opening the unit to insert a new disc requires picking up the unit to slide the latch over. If you plan to use this as a table top player - such as on your nightstand, forget it! Look at another model. But, the sound is clear and true, the bass controlled.

Very good

Brandon Michael, Amazon
3 February 2007
  • Summary: This is another great product made by Sony. This walkman is very reliable, durable, stylish and I haven't had any problems with it so far. The price is also fine and I highly recommend it to everyone who needs such.

Sounds great for the money

Kodachrome man, Amazon
2 February 2007
  • Summary: This is a fine little CD player and sounds very good hooked up to my Altec Lansing M602 speaker. I like the form factor and it looks good in black. The symbols on the buttons are hard to see, but being black instead of an easier to see silver, does add to the cool look. It does not include an AC adapter, and clearly states so on the back of the package.

Great Sound - Difficult Ear Piece and Controls

Desmond Clark "Miss Desmond", Amazon
9 January 2007
  • Summary: I found this cd player to be really cool with the sound and I like how you can move around and the cd does not skip around. The only problem with this device is the controls are too small - I could not read the labels enough to understand what AVLS was nor could I understand the repeat button. When I went to look on the screen everything was so small it was ridiculous!
