The Bose Disc player is great but at this price the RCA is better yet (for various reasons).

Summary: For the money you just cant beat this one. I picked up a different pair of Earphones as I dont really like Ear buds and sound wise it is not all that different than my now stolen Bose Disc Player. Another advantage is that no one would bother to steal this one and if they do the replacement isnt going to affect the National Debt.
Summary: This is one of the better-designed portable CD players still on the market. The buttons are large and easy to read and to push. The viewing window for the track and elapsed time is in the center of the unit instead of the top (I wish it was at the bottom, where such players originally had it), which makes it easier to read without pulling the unit all the way out of a carrying case.
Summary: Where do I start, the lid hardly opens up,batteries are a pain to put in,when moved it skips and starts over, the side switches are so dark you need a flashlight to see them,it makes a loud noise when disc is spinning, and finally it played three songs then stopped, showing the letters er in the view screen. Changing batteries etc nothing worked.Directions are worthless.Piece of junk save your money.
Summary: My mother is 81 with macular degeneration. She is unable to read books any longer. I got her this RCA personal CD play so that she can listen to audio books. She loves it! The control buttons are on top of the unit and easy for her to find. Easy opening to insert the CD. I got the adapter so that we can plug it in rather than having to deal with batteries. I purchased two other CD players before purchasing the RCA. I am so glad that I found the RCA.
Summary: Meh. Works fine with the exception of the display, it doesn't work so I have to guess what chapter I am on (audio book.). Also, it doesn't remember where you where when the disc was stopped like other brands do.
