If you want a player that can run on housecurrent, stay away from the RCA !
Summary: I bought this product because my old Sony Walkman was giving up, and assumed it would serve the same purpose. Unfortunately, the RCA did not come with an AC adapter, and its adapter contact point is much smaller than usual and will not accept any adapter I could find in any local stores. I reported the problem to RCA on the internet, but have not heard back from them at all.
Summary: The unit does what it is supposed to do, and the interface is easy to use and understand. I downgrade this unit --- and would not buy it again --- because of one huge negative feature. To install the batteries (2) (every 20 hours or less), you have to unscrew SIX micro-screws, and then take the unit apart. I bought this so my son could privately listen to CDs and Audio Books in the car.
Summary: The sound quality on this CD player is pretty good and the batteries are easy to install. I don't understand why people are complaining about this, as all the other players I've had have been the same way. (I didn't have to unscrew any teeny, tiny screws, etc.!) It has never skipped with me and I actually like the ear pieces as they don't fit into your ears so don't hurt (like some earbuds do).
Summary: I purchased CD players from two other places before I bought this one. Both had issues! The sound is fabulous on this RCA, and it's easy to use! Love it Love it Love it! Confession: I've actually dropped this CD player 2 x and figured I killed it both times. It just keeps on working perfectly. Would highly recommend it!
Summary: I bought this in late December. I have used the CD player less than 10 times in the four months I've owned it and now it doesn't work. I searched for an email for RCA to get it replaced since it is now past the return period for amazon. All I can find is there website where you need to set up a account with user name and password. Really they are building a customer list when you try and get an issue with a product taken care of? That's just annoying!
