Summary: I rebought this because i use to own one back when they would sell these at stores but i rebought it cause it reads mp3's but at times, it will struggle to operate to play, not so sure its due to the condition or of its use, not sure but i ordered it and it works when i get it to. i guess for the price i paid for it, it was over priced for its operatable inconvienience, anyway, thats the risk you take when you order products online.
Summary: I use my mp3/cd player virtually every day, and this Philips model has been very reliable. Although I consider myself careful with this unit, it has fallen to the floor at least 8-10 times. Every time it drops, I say, "Rats! This thing is gonna be broken for sure!" and every time, I just brush it off, turn it on...and it plays! I would buy one of these again in a heartbeat!
Summary: Okay - its heavy, its not very attractive, and it doesn't come with a belt clip - those are the cons upfront. So why did I give it 5 stars? Here are the pros - the sound is great - crisp & clear (no background noise at the beginning of or in between tracks), its durable (dropped it a few times & it still worked just fine), and its comparable to some of Sony's players, yet less expensive. Here are more pros... It can play CD-Rs (your own burned CDs) as easily as CDs .
Summary: Hi I love this, I originally had 1 a few years ago when Circuit City was open, back in 2005 I originally bought it, but it broke down from me dropping it too much, but happy to say I bOught A NEW ONE FROM APEX SUPPLIERS here on Amazon.Com and it shipped fast and I recived it quick, very thrilled, excited and impressed, even plays my most stubborn cd's that normally wouldn't play in any other CD player or Stereo Boom Box System, I love it, especially with the battery...
Summary: This player is awesome for music, regular cd's and MP3 cd's. It however does not resume playback where you left off for MP3's, so it is a pain for books on cd in the MP3 format. That is what I bought it for and it doesn't work the way I wanted it to. So I returned it.
Summary: I purchased a Philips CD/MP3 player. I wanted something inexpensive, with good sound quality that could play both formats:I got both. The headphones needed to be replaced immediately because they are vey fragile. When playing MP3 you cannot skip tracks (like you do with CDs). The only thing I really do not like about the player is that it does not have a clip or any other way to hold it close to your body, so I have to hold it in my hand as I walk.
Summary: If I am playing an mp3 file and turn off my player. The player does not pick up from where I left off, but starts at the beginning of the disk. This makes it worthless for playing audio books.
Summary: This cd player would've received 5 stars if not for one serious drawback. It doesn't pick up the story where it left off when I turned it off. If I'm playing a ten hour mp3 disk, I cannot listen for 10 hours straight and hunting for the place where I had to stop the player is very tedious at best and extremely annoying at worst. Unfortunately, this wasn't specified by the manufacturer.
