    If I were Dana White and Yuke's were a fledgling UFC fighter, I'd be commending the young pup on a barnstorming entry to the competition. There's room for improvement, certainly: the character creation tools are a bit limited when compared to similar titles, while the career mode could do with fleshing out a few of its ideas.     A mongst all the contact sports played today, nothing is more brutal than the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Put two testosterone-laden men in a closed ring and watch the body parts fly – literally.     Just like Fight Night Round 4 the controls are a little annoying also the UFC fights here lack the excitement of the sport. Despite these flaws and the fact that the menu's are so copious, UFC 2009 is a great single and multiplayer/ 2 player experience. Read more

    I've always enjoyed any kind of fighting game and just started watching some UFC matches and happened to see this game (demo) available for download on Xbox live and figured I would try it out. After playing a few exhibition matches, I was hooked and wanted the full version so I could pick any fighter and play all modes.     This game is one of the best games created recently. Whether you want to created a career or just start an exhibition match with one of your friends you will have fun with this game.     UFC 2009 isn't a game I was going to buy at first. I am not a big UFC fan, don't know many of the fighters or anything but I happened to see it in the shop for £25 on the day of release so I bought it.     This is the best fighting game I have ever played. Punch, kick, ground-game, it is ALL there. The announcers make it seem like a pay-per-view event. It is AWESOME. Read more
