List All 5 Prices"Power is Everything." This is the law of Tekken. All seek it. All are consumed by it. In the end, all bow to its immutable logic. Each warrior has a unique motivation for entering the 6th King of the Iron Fist Tournament: Respect. Vengeance. Honor. Righteousness. Family… Power alone will lead them to victory. Power alone will bring all foes to their knees. In this world governed by violence, who will reign supreme? The Mishima bloodline continues to flow, a self-de…
With its beefy cast, impressive Scenario Campaign mode, and expansive customisation options, Tekken 6 is the new heavyweight in the fighting game arena Randolph Ramsay takes on the Mishimas in this Tekken 6 video review. A few months after its release, Tekken 6 was updated to support online co-op play in a truncated version of the new Scenario Campaign mode. For more information, check out our reviews blog entry on the subject. Read more
This does not make Tekken 6 a bad game. It just makes it a tad disappointing. It still soaked up hours of my time as I wrestled with the changes the development team made to my go-to characters: Ling Xiaoyu, Paul Phoenix, Lei Wulong, Asuka Kazama and Heihachi Mishima. Newcomers will still find the game accessible (more so than almost every other fighting game on the market, including SF4), and might even enjoy spectacular success, especially with characters with special... The gameplay of Tekken 6 is still rock solid, especially the 1on1 fights play like a dream. The new Bounds and Rage make for the necessary innovation without adding a superforce. A better worked out Scenario Campaign Mode would have been more fun, especially the lack of co-op is unfortunate. A patch is planned to add this still, but I find it more important to have something like this included at launch. Despite these downpoints Tekken 6 remains a definite suggestion for... Read more
Jin Kazama has turned evil. It was inevitable, even if it seemed unlikely. You’d never think he’d actually go through with it - he’s practically a saint compared to some of the other characters - but the temptation was too great. Jin has taken control of the Mishima Zaibatsu, but he’s not interested in using it for the sake of justice or peace. Instead, he used the corporation to build an unbeatable army and intends to conquer the world with it. He’s... Read more
Tekken 6 is exactly what you think it is: the latest iteration in a 15 year old franchise. Fans of the series will accept it—albeit with cries of it not being better than insert version here —and newcomers will jump in recognizing the series as one of the few remaining relevant fighting games. As a fighter, Tekken 6 is solid and fun when you play other people (especially if they’re close to your skill level). The Scenario Campaign is a missed opportunity, and... Read more
I have bought Tekken6 after playing Tekken5:DR. I have to say its not what i expected. I'm back on Tekken5 again. The campaign is boring and doesnt fit in this genre. The game is very much the same as T5, I can't say WOW! After playing T6 for a few hours it was a relieve to go back on T5. It's definitely not worth the money (€ 55). Character customizations are rediculious expensive! It takes days of winning to just get a simple chest piece. After all i think the... Read more
Absolutely fantastic game for any one who likes fighting games. The graphics are great and combat is fluid with a massive selection of players. Read more
Tekken 6 is finally here but has it been worth the long wait? Tekken has always been the fighting game that other titles have had to compare to setting the bench mark with almost every title. So is it the king of all the fighters? So here goes. You start the game up and it installs trophies and creates a save file like most games do these days. (note no install of game to HDD) It loads up with a cut scene showing you a few new characters straight away. But it just lacked... Read more
For someone who has never played the other Tekken's now would be a good time to start. The game balance is really good with someone to guide them on what moves track, punishes, or has bad recovery time. Story wise for Tekken 6 is fair but going through stages gets repetitive but worth getting gold to customise your favorite characters. I preferred Tekken 5: DR's random customization better over what shirts match what pants but there selection isn't bad either. Music... Read more
I hadn't picked up a game of Tekken since the days of Tekken Tag. It wasn't that I thought past games were bad its just I'm not the biggest fan of fighting games. Tekken 6 brought weeks of fun though, good single player action but fantastic multi player. As someone who enjoys the one player and the multi player I found it a fun, exciting experience. It's a game that's easy to pick up but pretty hard to master and if you want to go online you need to master it. It's a... Read more
