I didn't think Resistance 2 was as good as the original. It's still a fun game as far as first person shooters go, but I wasn't blown away by it. Read more

The Move's biggest test will come with the release of Microsoft's Kinect, and it will be interesting to see whether it can stand up against the new Xbox hardware. If Sony can provide some real games for Move over the coming months, then the fight for the motion control crown is anyone's game. Read more

Resistance Fall of Man was an extraordinary first-person shooter (FPS) which combined elements of survival horror, science fiction and alternate histories to create an enthralling, wholly realized game world filled with suspense and dread. Resistance 2 is very different. Read more

This is a really good first-person shooter, beyond and above Resistance 1, which was decent. Superior Graphics, story, and weapons make Resistance 2 everything a gamer could want in a sequel. If you enjoyed Killzone 2, this tittle's definitely for you. Read more

Whilst this is a good game, I would not put it in the same class as games like Bio Shock, Dead Space or Gears of War. The weapons are just average - though I loved the magnum - and the grenades are nowhere as good as the first game. Read more

Features

In The Resistance 2, Nathan Hale, the protagonist character who is controlled by the player, travels to the United States in order to battle the Chimera, who have launched a full scale invasion of both the east and west coasts. He joins a special task force named The Sentinels, which the soldiers are infected with the Chimeran virus, same as him, and keep the disease under control with drugs. The game features all the weapons from the previous series and introduces "Marksman" and a mini gun called the "HVAP (High Velocity Armor Piercing) Wraith". At a time, a player only allowed to carry two weapons and also limited numbers of grenades. It uses an automatic regenerative health system, whereby players must keep out of the line of fire in order to recover health. There are two modes in multiplayer, which are cooperative and competitive. Both modes track the player’s performance, gaining experience and leading to benefits and rewards, as well as assigning the player a skill ranking. Competitive mode enables up to 60 players competing simultaneously.
