Prototype looked like it was going to be a hell of a lot of fun each and every time we saw it over its extended development, and it is fun, just not all the time. Read more

Prototype isn't a bad game. The gameplay is filled with action, with a lot of great moves to brutally slay mutants and soldiers. Unfortunately both story and missions disappoint while the chaos in the gameplay brings forth some frustration. All in all still definitely one to try out though. Read more

I so wanted to love [Prototype] . In the end I could't, no matter how hard I tried to. If you like its premise then go get it anyway. Just don't expect it to be as great as it seems on paper. Or just wait for the price to drop. Read more

The city is your playground – where will you go? Since the first teaser trailers hit the gaming scene, there’s been a lot of buzz about Prototype. The early gameplay footage looked frenzied and full of action, and we couldn’t wait to get our hand on the real thing. Having finally had a chance to give Prototype a spin on the Playstation 3, I have to come away with some mixed thoughts. Read more

Overall...Prototype makes for a great sandbox game. If you've ever wanted to experience (in a game at least) amazing destructive power, while either saving/taking lives (sounds harsh, I know) then...give this game a shot. At first, your character feels rather weak, but by the end - you're practically unstoppable. Read more

I bought inFamous before this game thinking that Prototype would be just as fun and great. If you have a choice to purchase this or inFamous...I would have ONLY purchased inFamous and left this on the shelf. To me (and this is my opinion) I think this game isn't worth the hype. To me it was a waist of money. I gave it a two because it wasn't the game for me. My son won't even play it because he said the same thing. I let him play it and be the judge for himself. Read more
- Lots of gore. Cool disguises/morphs/transformations. Cool how you can drive tanks and helicopters by either stealing them or taking them away.
- Not all what it seems to be. I bought this game thinking it was going to be game of the year...but I see why it can't. Too dark, not enough weapons, too many button co...

Prototype firstly plays very well on the PS3 system. There is no latency and the graphics and motion blur make the game look very smooth. Although the controls are very similar to many open world sandbox games an added dimension of maneuverability with extraordinary abilities enabling you to scale massive new york skyscrapers and buildings. You can really feel like you are superhuman, especialy good use of the ps3's vibration features. Read more

This Game is a huge all action one which as you go along you gain more moves, more powers which are needed as the missions get harder as you go along. If your looking for a vast city with endless amounts of things to do both mission based and free roam this is for you Read more

All in all, Prototype is a very entertaining game, which offers many different things for players to do, depending on what they feel like doing.
