While things do get a little repetitive after a while, there's a huge amount here for your money, and though it will likely be little more than a passing fad, Pain deserves plentiful success. Read more

    • Loads of features for a PSN game, Hilarious and silly, Accessible, simple fun

There have been some hilarious video games over the years, but Pain easily wins the prize for the funniest. Your sole mission is to cause as much pain to your character and destruction to your surroundings as possible, racking up points by hitting as many objects as possible before your catapulted body loses its momentum. I can sum up my review of PAIN for you right at the start: cool idea, fun for a bit, lack of variety keeps the fun from lasting for long. How cool? How long? Why? Let's find out. Read more

Honestly, Pain has been one of my most anticipated titles this year. Of course it can't compare to some of this year's bigger releases, but I am a girl of simple tastes. I thoroughly enjoyed Pain, chiefly because even though it has a simple premise, it creates memorable gameplay through very tight and precise controls, and some extremely interesting modes of play. So while you may be trying to get rid of some of the pain this holiday season, I invite you to let Pain in! Read more

At heart, I think nearly everyone who plays videogames is a closet designer. I challenge you to find a player who hasn't at least one time or another uttered the phrase, "Wouldn't it be cool if there was a game where you..." As it relates to Pain , the question ends with, "...could launch someone out of a giant slingshot." Although it is a neat idea, Pain also proves that not every idea translates into a great, long-lasting experience. Read more

All fun and games till someone gets hurt. Since its launch, the PS3’s Playstation store has offered some great content, with everything from move trailers, game add-ons, demos, and themes for players to download and enjoy. One of the pay-to-download games available at the moment is Pain, which is a mixed bag to play. Read more

There are a few different maps and some other game types (like mime toss) and a weekly update that lets you test out some new ideas on the drawing board. Also you can purchase add ons such as maps or different characters to launch (like a drunken looking dirty old Santa). Each different character says different things and can do different things while flying through the air. This game is fairly simple, a lot of fun and very addictive. Read more

what a disappointment! I expected at least something on a level with LittleBig Planet but apparently this one let me down big time. No game play at all / just katapulting poor guy in the walls. And yes, you get bonus points if you smash him nicely! but come on! how long yoyu can do the same? i played for an hour just to see am i missing something... i will never get this hour back. Good luck! Read more

Initially, it must say that the cause pain for points in this scar-inducing downloadable game! The core, unique mechanic of the game allows the player to load a character into an extreme launching device, such as a human-sized, ultra-powerful slingshot, and fire the character into an active, physics-controlled environment. The active player receives points by stringing together painful collisions and inducing chaos in the environment. He must achieve a wide variety of goals and / or reach various scoring milestones in each of the different modes of play. During it, a mixture of pain and joy, which resulted from winning will be covered all the topics of the event.
