Monopoly has been knocking about for quite a while now. It's been around in one form or another since the 1930s, in fact, with it's origins stretching waaaaaay back to 1904. EA has managed to produce a competent virtual version of the classic board game, but we still can't recommend it over buying the real thing. You get numerous boards and the questionable Get Rich Quick mode, but you lose so much by not being able to play the way you want. If the idea of playing a board game seems too last century this virtual edition might be worth a look, but be aware that this is only ever going to be second best. Read more
Monopoly does its best to be a fun game but even the many boards can't make a real board game of this digital version. You lack the atmosphere of the discussions and also the absence of an online part is unfortunate. The real board game easily rises above this digital version with head and shoulders. Read more
