Review Summary
In Half-Life 2 The Orange Box players will have to combat and attack enemies, run around trees to evade gang of enemies before finishing them one at a time. You will encounter new, amazingly intelligent Hunter enemy type. Players will have to rely on the skills earned from all these experiences in Episode 1, in order to survive the thrilling climax. Episode 2 is almost the same, but much better. The game’s story and dialogue are well-written . The drama lies in the major plot points through the action. The design is brilliant level, the combat engaging, and the intelligent puzzles together contribute to propel the player from one level to the next. The game is creative with its implementation of physics, which combines the use of the environment for both combat and puzzle-solving. Up to now no game has made use of physics in such a natural manner, making use of anything and everything in the environment. As, players never leave the first-person perspective and most of the major plot points are delivered through playable scripted sequences and entire levels worth of gameplay, so the players can exerience the drama every time. The visual art of Orange Box is unique. The modern game design results in a powerful representation. Most reviewers recommend this game which they find that the amazing voice acting, the great sound effects and its chilling music all contribute to make it a great game.
The definitive next-generation shooter action experience from the creators of Half-Life®.

Frame rate and loading issues aside, the content in The Orange Box for the PS3 is as good as the content in the superb Xbox 360 version. This is definitely a must-have game for the platform that will provide countless hours of single- and multiplayer action. It might not be the definitive version of The Orange Box, but it still represents one of the greatest values in gaming history. Read more
