The FIFA video game series, a perennial favourite among soccer fans across the world, trades stadiums for street ball with the release of FIFA Street 3 for PlayStation 3. The latest edition maintains the same casual entertainment value as the first two coupled with a whole new array of unrealistic trick moves and arcade-style gameplay. The arcade-like feel of FIFA Street 3 actually diminishes its staying power in terms of the gamers’ enjoyment, and despite what Street... Read more
It’s in the multiplayer that FIFA Street 3 gains its worth. If you’re really into soccer and you plan on playing either with friends locally or online, then go ahead and purchase the game. Both versions of the game can run with 8 players online, while locally a total of 4 can play at once on the 360 and the extremely odd 7 players on the PS3. There’s a World Challenge mode where the 18 national teams in the game are used to create a tournament, and the real killer... Read more
Is FIFA Street 3 a good game? It could have been, but it's not. Even for a Street game it's below mediocre, and the constant little things like annoying AI, bad passing physics, and random ball bounces that lead to losing the ball add up far faster than they should have. EA made the move towards realism in a Street game, and it really took away whatever redeeming qualities it may have had. When people play FIFA Street they expect fun, absurdity, and soccer matches the... Read more
W hat it might take is just one look at the cover of FIFA Street 3 for you to either get excited or get completely turned off. Peter Crouch, the first of three men on the cover is tall, slim and already anticipating your long crosses to head some right home. Ronaldinho is fit (for a change) and actually looks good with his powers clearly being the attractive looking tricks and his dribbling skills. Finally we have a polar bear in blue. Or in other words the Italian... Read more
by Jonathan Marx It's been a few years since EA SPORTS BIG has given us a FIFA Street title. The old series needed quite a bit of work, and thankfully a lot more attention was lavished upon this next-gen version. However, the title still needs a lot of work and is about as deep as Hannah Montana's set list. Having said that, the presentation is wonderful! I was truly impressed with the environments, player caricatures, and music selection. The simple controls are also... Read more
Great graphics and gameplay, but there simply isn't the depth in the challenge mode, and no real career type mode. Read more
Fun: I was rather surprised when I began playing this game. The graphics are good for a sports PS3 game, and the music is excellent. Gameplay is easy to learn, regardless of any age or skill. Lots of replay value as you can unlock different players and teams. You can also play online against people from all over the world; this was a humbling experience. It is defintely a solid street ball game for the ps3. Read more
Jumpers for goalposts They must play a very different kind of football over in Canada than they do in Europe. There‘s none of this street soccer kickabout you‘ll remember from school for starters – it‘s all carefully FIFA controlled. So eye–gouging, half time tantrums, grass –stained knees and yep, no sliding tackles! Instead you‘ll have access to a kind of low sweeping tackle in your arsenal of tricks. It‘s still a great move, essential if you want to... Read more
Only played the demo, but this game(and every other fifa street game out there) would be soooooooooooo much better if they just got rid of the cheesy flashing lights when tricks are pulled off, and the cartoony characters that look both funny, and awfull at the same time(especially peter crouch). if they changed just these things, I would rate it much higher.(BEWARE OF WAYNE ROONEY, HE LOOKS MORE LIKE A WRESTLER ON THIS GAME THAN A PRO FOOTBALL PLAYER) Read more
