Battlefield Bad Company might look like just another FPS but it feels very different. The open-world levels make for some unique gameplay opportunities and the multiplayer is superb. Read more
Battlefield: Bad Company is by no means perfect. Having said that, it is still one of the most enjoyable and entertaining shooters of the year. The single player is a short but enjoyable campaign with fairly likable characters, and the online mode is incredibly addictive. This sandbox shooter is a bit of harmless, destructive fun, and is certainly worth your money. If you aren’t prepared to shell out the full price for this game, it makes for one hell of a good rental. Read more
All in all Battlefield: Bad Company is quite ok. My team mates are motivated, whether or not thanks to the gold, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape or - if you want - destroy it. Gold Rush plays very swift and offers the necessary variation. I, Preston Marlow, from B-Company invite you to get to know our division. Don't miss this chance and be part of the scum of the army! The only things missing from Battlefield: Bad Company are a compelling ending, co-op play and the inclusion of Conquest mode, in which players capture control points a la the BF games of yore. Fortunately, although EA and DICE can't do much about the lackluster last few hours or lack of co-op, they plan to release a Conquest mode as a free downloadable update on PS3 and Xbox 360. Read more
In all Battlefield: Bad Company is a game rich on realism and incredibly satisfying. The surprisingly good single-player campaign only adds more value to a game that already promises hours upon hours of multiplayer action. If you're a fan of shooters, you'd be a fool to look beyond this one. Read more
Battlefield: Bad Company may not completely revamp the war game experience, but it does modify it enough to keep you interested throughout both on and offline. The biggest new feature clearly is the ability to blow buildings apart -- and visuals are spectacular, but the game features more than just that. For once, it features an entertaining single-player experience with a meaningful storyline. Read more
'Built from the ground-up for next-generation consoles using Digital Illusions' bleeding-edge Frostbite game engine, Battlefield: Bad Company drops gamers behind enemy lines with a squad of renegade soldiers who risk it all on a personal quest for gold and revenge. Read more
Battlefield: Bad Company was a big question mark for me going in, I was interested to see what they were going to do with this game to make it able to compete in this very overcrowded FPS market, and they managed to really do so with Bad Company. This is really a game to check out if your a fan of the genre or series as it is by far the best Battlefield game to grace the consoles yet. Read more
I was a little concerned about buying this game because I wasn't sure EA could handle it. Army of Two was very bad and it was by EA so that is what discouraged me. I read the reviews for this game and then that is what lead me to buy this game. The sound is some of the best I ahve ever heard. The graphics are above average and could be better on the PS3. The multiplayer is also a lot of fun because you can have ip to 24 players. Read more
Excellent game. Ranks up there with the best Call of Duty available. The best part about this game is the witty and humerous dialogue of the characters. I haven't laughed so much while playing a war game in my life. Thanks EA. Read more
Haven't been able to try online. Of all my games, it's the only one that won't let me go online. Forwarded ports, put my ps3 in to a DMZ, the works. Oh well, I'll try again later. Bad luck, I suppose. Read more
I like this game better than Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Looks awesome on a 52' plasma and sounds great on a surround sound. When I first played Call of Duty and it was my first time playing a PS3, I beat Call of Duty within a few hours. When I played Battlefield it took me about 8 days to beat it. Read more
Although its not the top notch game, the game is still great. The campaign seems redundant, all you do is invade places and shoot people. But the variety in locations, pleases your eyes, and brain, so that you have the feeling of difference. Online play also has many locations you may deploy. But still, the people with the higher rank, who are very skillful at the game, also have better weapons. Read more
Fancied trying this after hearing a few folk talking about it, and wasn't too disappointed in the end. A solid shooter that does the job it's supposed to. Not the best in it's genre but certainly not the worst! Voice overs are poor, but graphics are good and game play is a bit more loose than I'm used to, but above average none the less! Definetely worth considering! Read more
I never had any preconceptions when I picked up Bad Company. It didn't cost me very much and I didn't really expect a whole lot but right from the off Bad Company charmed me with its light hearted take on the FPS genre. If you love Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare series then this game may not be for you as the gritty realism and intense spectacle that Call of Duty thrives on isn't really replicated here. Read more
The war genre FPS has had so many entries over the last few years that it takes a lot to stand out. Read more
For those who are looking to buy the game, reconsider as there are better games out there, I would recommend renting it just so you can listen to Private Sweetwater complain how they are gonna get their butts kicked by the Russians, the US army , and their mums. It goes to show that while humor is good, its not always there to bail you out of a poor performance. Read more
Bad Company is a good game to try out and the multiplayer mode is very rewarding. Read more

It was developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and released in North America on June 23, 2008 under the Electronic Arts label. In addition to the Sony PlayStation 3, Bad Company is also available for the Microsoft Xbox 360.
Bad Company uses a new game engine, Frostbite, that gives the game fully destructible environments. Other new feature include dynamic lighting and a single player storyline.
Battlefield: Bad Company places the player in a fictional conflict between the United States and the Russian Federation. Gamers get to take command of a squad of four soldiers, with a choice of different classes—Assault, Demolition, Recon, Specialist, or Support. There are also numerous vehicles that the player will encounter and can control during the game including tanks, armored cars, patrol boats and helicopters. Unlike the rest of the series, however, Bad Company does not have fixed wing aircraft.
The game’s single-player campaign will take the player through 7 different missions, where the player can also collect gold bars and unique weapons.
With an online multiplayer mode, the player can play with up to 23 others in games like Gold Rush and Conquest. In online play. players can receive three kinds of awards (trophies, patches and wildcards) depending on certain accomplishments.
Bad Company has a ranking hierarchy based on the US Army’s. Each time a player moves up a rank, he may receive credits which he can use to unlock new weapons.
