Review Summary

Assassin’s Creed is one of the prettiest games featuring an accomplished visual and graphical display that will amaze you. The game will seem like a magical adventure. The sound effects are excellent throughout the game; from the hawkers on the streets to the cries of frightened citizens to the shouts of guards. The soundtrack is perfect with the music reflecting the tension or urgency of the moment, it just blends in the atmosphere. The story is about normal guy (you) who through an advanced form of memory recalls and relives his days as an assassin many centuries ago. However his memories are incomplete and even locked, you will have to unlock them as you explore the past. Throughout the course of your adventure, you will earn back what you lost. Your aim is to unravel the mystery. You will become a dangerous yet silent individual, with no fear of heights. You will have access to a sword, short blade, throwing knives, and a hidden blade on your wrist. To succeed relies on your ability to blend in, investigate, and ultimately come to grips with who you are in both the past and present. Most reviewers find this game to be fun, beautiful, accomplished, challenging, original, atmospheric, detailed and even breathtaking addictive and a real treat; all at the same time. Not many games can compete Assassin’s Creed.

Disgraced for failing to live up to the assassin's creed, Altair must climb his way back to the top, sticking to the shadows and taking out his targets. Using brute strength, reflexes and stealth, you must navigate the streets of Damascus, Acre, and Jerusalem, gathering information and help as you take out nine historical figures during the Crusades. is, quite simply, an exquisite game. As Altair, the assassin ancestor, you will traverse ancient cities such as Jerusalem and Damascus, all rendered to historical perfection - at least they look as though I'd imagine they would back in the day. Cities bustle with soldiers, beggars, vendors, informants and potential targets. Vendors will call out to passers-by, hawking their wares. Beggars will approach you as you move about the city, asking for anything you might have... Read more

The first game in the Assassin's Creed franchise is set in 1191 AD, when the Third Crusade was tearing the Holy Land apart. Shrouded in secrecy and feared for their ruthlessness, the Assassins intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict. Players, assuming the role of the main character Altair, have the power to throw their immediate environment into chaos and to shape events during this pivotal moment in history. [Ubisoft] Read more

With the games out for the ps3 we should be very thanknful that we have something so much different to play for a little while. Graphics incredible, controls with a low-medium difficulty learning curve. Repetition does pose a little dissapointment but with a storyline as interesting as this, it finds a way to keep you playing until the very end, thank you ubisoft! Read more

Still working my way through it so this is more of a work in progress review but impressions at this stage are very good. The graphics are stunning, the first time you come out of the valley to see a huge city spread out in the valley before you will certainly make you stop and admire the scene for a moment or to. I loved the whole 'hiding in plain sight' concept, So far I have found it maybe a little too easy to escape the guards when I have jumped to the aid of a po... Read more
