List All 2 PricesUbisoft has hit on something big with the concept behind the Assassin's Creed series. The idea of inhabiting a possibly infinite amount of historical spaces through the blood of ancestors, coupled with free open world movement and a conspiracy theory thrown in for good measure has lots of legs but the developers seem to be rather slow on realizing the whole potential. The free running needs to be streamlined (and please let it use just one button in the next game). Read more
The first Assassin's creed was plagued by a formulaic method of play. Ubisoft have changed this and have implemented the story of Ezio Firenze Auditore, a proud Italian noble, into Desmonds (the main character) story. Read more
]Assassins Creed 2 took everything that made Assassins Creed fun and entertaining, and improved it ten fold, and all the repetition issues from the first game are non existent. Assassins Creed 2 is a visual masterpiece. The storyline is intricate, there's depth beyond the main quest, and the action is incredible at times. We've had some stunning games this year, and Ubisoft has given us another to add to the list. Read more
Assassin's Creed 2 connects the original Assassin Creed 's dots, without forgetting to draw a unique picture. The predicessor, while technically impressive, is in retrospect a series of so-so scouting missions punctuated by unremarkable assassinations. The sequel, however, contains a more appealing roster of villains, a muddy, yet comprehensible story, the sprawling backdrop of Renaissance Italy, and most of all, memorable on-the-spot executions. It's not uncommon for a developer to take criticism to heart and incorporate changes in ensuing games, but the structural overhaul done to Assassin's Creed II exposes the indefensible flaws of the first game. Read more
One of the most celebrated franchises of the current generation of consoles makes its triumphant return as master assassin Ezio sneaks and slays through the streets of 15th century Italy. Reviewer-turned-assassin John Davison plunged headfirst into Assassin's Creed 2's incredibly detailed world, and was soon swept away by the game's epic scope and impressive improvements over the 2007 original. is actually what the first game should have been, but wasn't probably due to a shortage in development time. This time you do get a game that's completely finished in all aspects thanks to many varying missions, a pleasant and immersive story and an addiction factor that makes you keep thinking "Just one more mission and then I'll go to bed". I bought this game because I loved Assassin's Creed and I had to have more. There's a lot about AC2 that's new and fresh from the original AC, new weapons, puzzles for decoding the past, and I was pretty impressed with the reconstruction of Renaissance Italy. I never had any problems with the requirement that I be online while I play since I have broadband, as I expect most people have by now, anyway. All there is to do now is to get the next installment! The original Assassin’s Creed has clocked sales of around 10 million units since its 2007 release; an impressive achievement for a new intellectual property.
