List All 7 PricesWhen a man-made disaster of epic proportions strikes Shanghai, China, Rios and Salem find themselves right in the middle of it all. Fortunately for you, you’ve got a bigger playbook of features and a new arsenal of co-op moves that either player can perform at any time, opening up fresh strategies and choices for both players. You’ve also got the tools you need to help the Army of Two fight and prevail with an incredibly deep, advanced weapon customization and upgrade…
Army of Two didn’t exactly deliver as a cooperative experience much better than Gears of War, but it made up for that by being a solid shooter in its own right. While the campaign is a short 7-8 hours, you’ll want to go back and play again on a harder difficulty or solely to earn money and buy that M14 minigun. The multiplayer is flawed, and a couple gameplay mechanics could use some work, but in the end Army of Two is an immersive, enticing shooter whose sequel we... Read more
To cut things short, Army of Two is a decent shooter if you're not alone. Have you been searching for a true co-op experience, then this is just the game for you! Gamers that really like singleplayer campaigns, however, will not go wild while playing this. Read more
It's hard to be down on a game that tries to do something commendable, but Army of Two suffers from too many problems to be the game we wanted it to be. It just about scrapes through, enough anyway to warrant some decent sales and hopefully a sequel. Hopefully next time Rios and Salem will be a little less wise-cracking, take things a little more seriously and come complete with levels and gameplay scenarios that match the clever aggro system. While the gun-play... Read more
After months of starts and stops; after EA gave Army of Two the green light (prematurely, it turned out) and sent review builds out to reporters last fall only to subsequently announce that said builds were not actually ready for prime time and that we should disregard them; after more retooling and retweaking; after some speculation among my fellow journalists that EA would dump the IP outright, cancel the game, and cut their losses; after all this, the curtain parts,... Here’s my best impression of Army of Two as a college dude: Hiya Buddy! Are you going to be my roommie? Great! We’re gonna be best friends! I call the top bunk! Ha-ha! Got you that time! Hey, do you want to have a secret handshake? Sweet! By the way, I should tell you that I get a thrill out of killing people! Hey, what’s that on your shirt? Yoink! Got you again! No, but seriously, let’s talk about the American military industrial complex and the impact of... Read more
If your a fan of games like gears of war, halo, rb6 and call of duty- you definitely wont like this game. A pain in the neck to learn as well as boring. Rent it or play the demo before you waste your money...thats my two cents. Read more
The first great split-screen Co-op game for the PS3. Forget the official reviews -- this is a perfect game when you invite buddies over to play. It's easy to learn, plenty of two-person interaction (like going back-to-back when you're overwhelmed by enemies), and the tandem air-guitaring never gets old. The only snag was lack of instructions for using the parachute -- you have to tilt the SixAxis controller to go left and right. The only reason it doesn't get five stars... Read more
First off - This game is SO MUCH FUN! This is by far one of the best games I have played on PS3, XBOX360, Wii, or any other system! The best thing about it is that you can play the entire story via split-screen co-op mode, something that many games lack these days. And it is FUN. Unlike other games where you have to command an entire squad, this one is just you and your partner. Now that doesn't mean strategy is not part of the game. In fact, the Aggrometer makes you use... The game itself is a lot of fun however the premises behind this game were not so great. The in game store system is pretty cool but ***...the masks? Read more
I never really wanted to play this game. So when I was at Blockbuster, and they didnt have the game that I wanted, I decided, what the hell, i'll rent this game, and so I did. I invited a friend to play along, since Army of Two's no good if there's not two people playing. And let me just say that this game erased all original thoughts that I had on it. Many reviewers gave it average ratings, but in my eyes I was playing a winner. Since there are so many customizable... Read more
