Excerpt: The Ys series of action RPG's is one of the oldest and most cherished series in video game history. Thankfully, the transition to 3D seems to have been done flawlessly. Ys: The Ark of Napishtim is a game with all the newer bells and whistles that a current generation title has, but captures the simple elegance of the classic series to create a gaming experience that removes most of the headache and just leaves you unable to put it down.
Excerpt: a*nach*ro*nism If some of you are wondering why I started this review with a vocabulary lesson, bear with me. It's just that after spending 15 or so hours with Konami's Ys: The Ark of Napishtim, anachronism happens to be the one word bouncing around in my head. Being "out of its proper or chronological order" would almost seem to hint that Ys is a bad game- something that it's certainly not.
