Xyanide Resurrection PS2 Review

Console Obsession
31 May 2010
  • Excerpt: This is the follow-up to the Xbox shoot ‘em up Xyanide, and the storyline about the witch Aguira and the mysterious xyanide continues. As you play, the story is told through the chapters of the unlocked “digital comic”, which is a nice addition to the package. More importantly, how does it play? There are elements of Panzer Dragoon and the old CD-based shooter Microcosm thrown together here.

Xyanide: Resurrection PS2 Review

5 October 2007
  • Excerpt: With huge, big name, heavily hyped releases coming out almost every week in the run up the holiday season I have to say I find it reassuring for a game I’ve never heard of before to drop on my doorstep. Seriously, I have not seen one press release about the game, and at the time of writing no other reviews are online either.

Xyanide Resurrection Review (PS2)

2 October 2007
  • Excerpt: A 2D game in a 3D world When Dave (rage, yars owner) sent me this game, he explained it to me as a 2D game in a 3D world. I couldn’t have put it any better myself. Xyanide resurrection is basically an updated version of the 1979 hit arcade game asteroids, in which the player (represented by a small triangle) has to shoot or avoid all of the asteroids and UFO’s coming towards them.
  • Pros: update of a classic, quite fun for a few minutes
  • Cons: cringingly bad unnecessary plot, gets boring after a few levels of the same thing, predictable enemies

  • Summary: Wer seinen Feierabend ohne großangelegtes Nachdenken verbringen möchte, ist hier goldrichtig.
  • Cons: Antikes Gameplay, Wenig Bonus-Goodies

Xyanide : Resurrection

9 June 2008
