Excerpt: *A review of XG3: Extreme-G Racing which primarily focuses on the single-player experience.* PRESENTATION Short loading times despite being based on CD, and fast when dealing with memory card. Not so quick when navigating cycle menus where other options are not obviously apparent. Also, quicker to read about the teams from instruction manual than from slowly-scrolling text in-game.
Pros: Strong sense of speed, smooth graphics, excellent rain effects
Cons: Somewhat artificial challenge and length, low replay value
Excerpt: Very original game. Suped up, futuristic motor bikes with turbos & weapons on some rather interesting tracks. Play along, against eachother or as a team against the computer, win he race, win points & start upgrading your bikes. I do enjoy playing this game, it can get frustrating at times as your ammo & turbos don't last for long, but still a good game.
Excerpt: I was a little sceptical after buying Extreme G III because after playing the original Wipeout for the PS1 i vowed i would never again play a super fast racing game like it, however after enjoying Wipeout Fusion and seeing this title available in my local games shop for the measly price of £2.99 second hand, i thought i should give it a go, after all what can you buy for that price nowadays, not even a McDonalds!
Pros: Fast Paced Action, Good Graphics, Cheap
Cons: Steep Learning Curve, Only One Track Open At Start
Excerpt: Want a really fast racer? Want really insane tracks? Want weapons mounted on bikes? XG3: Extreme G Racing has answered your prayers. In this game you will get 10 incredible and insane tracks with gut-wrenching loops, corkscrews, near-vertical drops and spirals. The graphics are hi-res with incredibly detailed tracks and scenery and excellent bike details.
Pros: Great bikes, soundtrack music and tracks
Cons: Fingers will hurt when using boost button too often
Excerpt: XG3, while a good game lacks some fundamental game physics which would make it truly spectacular. First of all the graphics are superb, there are enough characters to keep it interesting, and there are a total of nine well thought out courses over three leagues. but, sadly thats where the praise ends.
Excerpt: The Extreme G games have been around for some time now; some may be surprised, those who have not owned the best console ever, the Nintendo 64 will have not have heard of Extreme G. The first, the original Extreme G appeared on the N64 and came on the scene very soon after the N64 launched. It was a designed to be a fast paced futuristic racing game, but never seemed to pull it off on the N64.
Excerpt: First the good part- Extrem G Racing , released by Acclaim, is one VERY fast game. The loading is pretty fast, the visuals are very fluid, and the overall sense of speed is abundant. There are many points that I like but the visuals are probably my favourite. Racing around the 10 racing circuits is a joy as each one is different and all have there own quirks.
Pros: Breakneck Speeds, Music by Ministry of Sound, 6 teams/12 characters to choose from, Graphics
