Summary: Another comic book title semi-wasted. This game has alot going for it. Unfortunately it was very poorly executed. The game has the movies music, feel, and atomosphere down pat. But that is about it. It really lacks anything innovative in a action adventure brawler. I have to say that Wolverine is the worst character to play in this game. His hack & slash levels are so ordinary. Ice Man & NightCrawler seem to have the most entertaining rounds.
Summary: this game has good graphics, good fighting moves, but is not worth the cost, your time, or the time it took to make. after a while, the missions and boss fights are too hard, and there is no invincibility cheat, so you just can't pass it, which means if you see this game for sale online or at a store, pass it up, and if you don't like it, return it, or if you can't, sell it, or destroy it if you want to.
For hardcore X-Men fans ONLY. Watch X-Men beat up your spare time.

Summary: Pros: There are X-Men in this game, Wolverine Iceman and Nightcrawler. Iceman's levels are pretty good (hence the 2 stars). The voices of the actors in the movie are used (which may have cost so much is explains the cons). Cons: Only 1 decent cutscene in the whole game, and all curscenes are drawn, like moving comic pages, like putting a comic in front of your face and impersonating an X-men character.
Summary: X-Men: The Official game isn't as bad as any negative reviews may lead you to believe. This definitely isn't the worst game in the X-Men franchise to ever be created. If I had to describe what this game was like, I'd say that it's like X2: Wolverine's Revenge but better. The story fills in all that takes place after the movie X2: X-Men United and X3: the Last Stand. So you will have a better understanding of the next film by playing this game.
Summary: A lot of people give this game a bad review because they're strictly gamers, not necessarily comic book fans, and they have a natural bias against games based on movies. I myself am not an avid gamer. This review is written from a hardcore comic book fan's point of view. I personally really enjoyed this game. Yes, it can be slightly redundant. Yes, it can be slightly annoying at times since there aren't as many checkpoints as there could be.
Summary: It's so much fun to play as Nightcrawler that that's all I wanted to do. It ended up that I was only playing the other missions to get to the next nightcrawler mission. His teleporting, wall-walking, and other acrobatics are just cool. He should get his own game. It's sort of a combination of the old Prince of Persia and Spiderman. Teleporting really cuts down on all that boring _walking_ you normally do.
