If you are a WWE fan there is nothing that I can say that’s probably going to deter you from buying this game, and probably the majority of fans already have the game as we speak. The game is a very good update to last year and still provides everyone with a satisfying wrestling experience with a ton of modes to play. I don’t think you can go wrong with that. Read more

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 is another installment in what many consider to be one of the top wrestling franchises of all time. Developed by Japanese studio Yuke’s Media Creations, and published by industry stalwart THQ, this steroid-filled slam fest makes a strong case for itself this year. Read more

After beating my opponent over the head with a crutch that I stole from a spectator, I strangled him with a speaker wire, then rammed his head into a TV until it sparked and exploded. Is this wrestling or attempted murder? As ridiculous as the backstage interactions may be, this is the level of interactivity that this series has needed. In past iterations, most matches ended with a finisher. In this installment, you never really know where a match will go. The action in... Read more

When the SmackDown series began in 2000, it was seen as a fun, but hollow alternative to the deeper Aki offerings. Over time, Aki’s relationship with THQ dissolved, leaving Yuke’s as the primary WWE game developer, and now they’re the only one, with this hollow game engine (originally created for a $15 budget game in Japan) as “the” game engine to represent wrestling for the foreseeable future. For comparison, imagine someone trying to develop something as deep... Read more

Fun: This was one of my favorite video games and still is except I don't play video games as much anymore. This in my opinion is actually better then the next two years 2008 and 2009. This game for the most part has a lot of positives to it. First off the create a player mode is great and is advanced from the year before. You can actually if you put the time in create a wrestler that is exactly like one in real life. For example Scott Stiner is not in the game but you... Read more

I have to admit, i really didn't see how SvR could be changed. Seeming as SvR 2006 was the most amazing game ever (in wrestling terms) i couldnt see how. But they did. Even though the controls are a bit weird when you start playing, you soon get used to them. A must have for all Wrestling and PS2 players alike. Read more

If you love WWE and the games then get this. If you just love the games but hate watching it (like me) then don't bother. I haven't played Smackdown since the 4th (I think, one with Brock Lesner on the front) and let me tell you compare them to each other and the older one is by far the better and makes more sense during storyline (loads of bad grammer that it makes it hard to make sense now and then). And I've always hated the long loading times, some things never do... Read more
