GM Mode is good, the rest is meh...
7 August 2008
Summary: WWE Smackdown VS Raw 2006 Many people consider this to be one of the better games in the Smackdown Series. I however just do not see it. The game seems to move in slow motion. Season mode is always the same unless you pick a different brand, which create only two different Season Modes. The new submission systems, GM Mode, and the graphics seem to be the only good things in this game. The game can be fun for a while; this is just not a great game.
Summary: I really enjoy playing this game. Me and my friends get together and play it every weekend. But there are a few things that have plagued this series for sometime. They did a good job of improving most of them for example on the last game you could get put in 10 ankle locks and if you could tap the button fast enough you wouldn't tap out but if Triple H put you in a headlock a few times you would submit. That's gone now Thank you!! But my frustration is with the focus.
Summary: At first smackdown vs raw 2006 seems really good. the first time you do story mode it's good. And if you do it again but on a different brand (raw or smackdown) it's good. But if you do it on the sam ebrand more than once it starts offf the same and the storyline gets a little bit different, but it still seems like you're doing the same thing again.
Summary: i found this game to be very disappointing. when you win titles on raw they get taken from you plus you cant defend the championship with the superstar you win it with. i dont think the creators put alot into this. plus the storylines repeat themselves.
Summary: smackdown VS raw2 was good, just like smackdown vs raw, & smackdown 5,4,3,2,1, on the ps2 The controls are the same, you still got your storyline modes, exhibition matches, create a wrestler ect. This game is just an update of a few new moves, upgraded graphics, new wrestlers which have become part of the WWE since the last game and a few golden oldies from back in the day.
Summary: This will probably be the final 'Smackdown!' on PS2 and it's going out with a bang...almost. Slightly glitchey in places and the collision detection has taken a step back but these can be forgiven for such an ambitious wrestling game that includes longed for features such as the Bar Room Brawl, Buried Alive match and MUCH better interaction with environments (especially the cages) and even a chance to take over as General Manager.
