Summary: First of all the game is real easy to pick up and play. Great backstage areas, and to this day one of the most stacked rosters of any WWE game ever. Including The Rock, Austin, Hogan, Flair, HHH, HBK, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Jericho, Trish Stratus, Lita, and over 50 other superstars to choose from.
Summary: A great great WWE game. The season mode is the best thing about it. You can play as over 40 WWE superstars, Select which brand you Compete in (Smackdown, Raw Or Both), and the story's are very entertaining. The gameplay itself is fantastic. I would reccomend this game if you like the WWE or not!! Truely a classic!!
Summary: This game was bought for my 10 year old son who now has every wrestling game made I believe. He really enjoys this one and I think he plays it more often than smackdown-vs-raw 2008...It includes most current wrestlers as well as past wrestlers not available on many other games.
The BEST Smackdown game ever, not to mention a great party game.

Summary: I'm gonna keep it short as the reviewer below named Mike Wasion (California, USA) really nailed it right. But here's a few more great things that make Smackdown a playable classic. This is a great game for not only wrestling gamers, but also fans of Tekken and the Dead or Alive series, since this is more arcade style fighting than true slow paced wrestling games like it's followers(Here comes the pain and the Smackdown vs Raw series) The biggest grip I have with the...
Summary: As much as i like SmackDown! games-my fave TNA superstar:A.J. Styles actally does``n`t like the SD! games!-he prefers the old-goodies AKI games on the N64-Not that i am going to Kopy him or anything just tellin` yaas thas all-y`might already know and i kno its "old news" and whatever.I watch TNA just as much as i watch WWE-I wish TNA had a sqaured-circle-but TNA`s fave letter is "X" so their hexagon should be called the "X-AGON" as a nickname.when WCW and ECW got bought...
The deepest story mode and a great roster make it the best Smackdown game.
31 August 2005
Summary: THE SHORT: The best roster of the Smackdown series and, more importantly, the deepest story mode. High replay value, good create-a-superstar mode, and lots of unlockables. The best overall entry in the series; the only problem is that it doesn't have some of the upgrades that later editions of the game have. THE LONG: Fans of the PS2 Smackdown series have surely checked this one out already, which at the time of this writing is already several years old.
