Summary: Right, so this franchise has been going on for years now, and after 3 editions of Smackdown on the playstation and ps2, a fourth one is enough to make you pull your hair out in frustration. However where it may lack in appeal due to so many wrestling games being out right now, its gameplay is near faultless, of course its still a bit awkward on the controls, and there ain't much variety in the moves you can perform, but the story mode is just like the real thing,...
Summary: The N64's No Mercy is the best wrestling game out there in terms of fundamentals and play control, and it looks like it unfortunately will be for awhile based on this attempt by THQ on the PS2. I felt it was my duty to write this... First, the positives: 1. There's a great number of wrestlers to choose from. 2. There's many different varieties of matches. 3. The story is the best in a wrestling game to date. 4. The wrestler music and entrance is the best in a game.
Excerpt: "...you favourite wrestler from the wwe with superstars to choose from like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan down to the not so popular eddie guerrero. If you choose to play a career you will be placed in a certain brand of wwe raw or ssmackdown and this will be the only other superstars you can face. You will work your way up the ladder of popularity and fame until you have a certain amount of rating points and you are able to fight for a title. ...
Summary: This game is no where near as good as advertised. The only good things about the game are the slightly improved graphics, a more updated roster, and a longer season mode. In a alot of ways the game takes a few steps backwards. First of all. You can still not defend titles in exhibition mode. That's probably the biggest disappointment. Not only can you not defend the titles there. The game doesn't even recognise the champions in exhibition.
Summary: Well, I have been looking forward to this game, as the predicessor, Just bring it was a great game, but lacked various moves, realism and story lines. So what does Shut your mouth have to offer? Graphics this time are 100% better, including the create a wrestler mode. The majority of characters who weren't in Just bring it are now here, but they missed out a few like rey mysterio, Chavo, John Cena etc.
