Summary: This strange little game is my current favorite video game, but not because it's a great tennis simulation. What I like about it is its odd rhythms, quirks and charm, and it's a great game to zone out on and just go with. On the tennis side, WTA Tour Tennis does things better than almost any tennis game I've ever seen -- tracking stats, great motion capture (done in part by Dokic herself), brilliant use of the players' real grunts and mannerisms, little animations like...
Summary: When i first got this game i was addicted to it!! It was so much fun and also challenging at times. But after time i saw myself beating every player 6-0 6-0. There is no difference in playing the woman ranked 20th then the top seed so it makes for a not much fun game! I recently got Smash Court Tennis 2 and its great and very realistic!
Summary: Yes, this game is not perfect, but do not listen to all the people who say that it is awful. I have played virtually all of the tennis games out there: Sega Sprots Tennis, Topspin, Smash Court Tennis, etc. And this is my favorite. Unlike the other games, when you simply press a button at any time and your player hits a great shot, this game actually requires skill. People who say that all you can do is pop the ball up have simply not mastered the timing.
Summary: I bought this game first, when it first came out. It was okay, but I didn't really enjoy it. There are a lot of different controls you have to remember, which I didn't like. The one thing I liked was the different players it has on it. If you want a tennis game that out does all the tennis games out there, you have to play Sega Sports Tennis! It's so easy to play and so much more fun!! I sold WTA as soon as I played Sega Sports Tennis... it was a lot more fun!
Fun when you play against someone (not the computer)

Summary: I think this game is fun to play against someone, we have good volleys and eventually someone will make a postioning mistake. I have not been able to follow the instructions about controlling the direction of the ball very well, but compared to some of the other PS2 sports games we have this one keeps us most interested so far.
Summary: It's fun -- just way to easy -- all you need is good timing to crush even the likes of Serena 6/0 6/0! Even in the most difficult mode. My major complaint -- WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW MONICA SELES AT NET? Drives me crazy that every opponent comes to net (even when you're hitting deep shots!). Makes it predictable. If you are looking for something that makes you think strategically -- this is not a game for you!
Summary: This game does not even deserve 1 star. Unfortunately that is the lowest rating I can give it through Amazon.com. It was a good thing I rented this game. The game is horrible in every aspects. The play control [disappoints] and there is no realism in the game. Sorry Konami but you are not known for making good sports game.
wta is realistic and so much better than smash court!

Summary: the graphic isn't great but works, the players look like their counterpart in real life, the sound is great(monica seles grunts!!!),the stadiums are realistic and the ,don't forget, you can choose among 20 players(plus other 20 hidden at first). yes,the gameplay can be strange at first,it's not as quick as in smash court but after a few hours you'll find it very challenging!great ai intelligence and great tour mode!!! it's not as 2k2 tennis, but who cares?
Summary: I wrote a review of this game a few weeks back, I found the game good but lacking in realism as it was virtually impossible to win a point, much less a game. Being the world's largest tennisaholic and stubborn as a mule, I continued to play the game to see if perhaps it was because I was just no good at it. Well, 7 weeks later, with me, my wife and kids all chipping in, we've climbed the rankings with sore thumbs only to discover a technical hitch.
Summary: I bought this game with high hopes. But, those hopes have been dashed upon the rocks of reality and lousy engineering. The shot making is so needlessly complicated and annoying that any enjoyment is soon replaced by frustration. To hit a simple stroke you must move the player into position with the directional controller, then pull the racquet back with the button and hit the button again to get any kind of power-shot.
