Winning Eleven 9

Me, Amazon
29 May 2006
  • Summary: I just traded in FIFA '06 for this game. The atmosphere is great, and the game makes you feel like you're watching a soccer game on TV. The graphics are very good, better than FIFA in my opinion. Yes, the faces on the players during the cutscenes of FIFA '06 look better than the faces in WE9.

Perfect For Real Soccer Fans, Not For Amateurs

W. Fong, Amazon
25 December 2005
  • Summary: This game is great for people who understand and play soccer, as this game really requires knowledge of the game. To help, the game does provide the player with useful tutorials. Being a amateur of the sport, this game was either too easy or hard. The game offers one to five star difficulty ratings.

Brilliance Personified

Mrs. Sandra Platt, Amazon
24 December 2005
  • Summary: Winning Eleven 8 made my jaw drop when I first bought it last year. I didn't think Konami could go any better. The graphics were better, the player AI was better, it was all improved and was wondering how they would make it any better for Winning Eleven 9.

Still the best franchise but a step down from WE8

Andre Colomas, Amazon
24 December 2005
  • Summary: Those who join the WE franchise will enjoy WE9 and are sure to be hooked, if not addicted, to the WE franchise. Those who, like me, had the chance to play earlier version of WE, especially WE8, will probably be a little disappointed.

Realism

Thomas W. Robinson, Amazon
24 December 2005
  • Summary: Winning Eleven has the market on realism cornered. While FIFA has more players, leagues, and teams, WE has the more realistic gameplay. I am new to the franchise because I prefered FIFA's bevy of teams and leagues, but WE is a great game in its own right.

Better than Fifa 2006

L. Fisher, Amazon
24 December 2005
  • Summary: This is a very good soccer game. The graphics, presentation, and gameplay are very good and it's a pretty easy game to pick up. The only negative thing about this game is the the commentator's voices are low and it's sometimes hard to hear them over the crowd.

Still beats EA, Cheating CPU

S. McMullin, Amazon
24 December 2005
  • Summary: I've owned and played versions 6, 7 and now 9 of the WE/PES series. The animations are simply brilliant in this version. The game has become much more physical -- you can shoulder barge simply by nudging the controller as you're running alongside.
